No one ever PMed me from the various threads. No one who I PMed asking for a fig ever replied. I've bid on at least 30 now on eBay and haven't won a single one. I'm feeling frustrated. Is $40 shipped really too low? It seemed reasonable to me but perhaps I do need to go higher. ... I thought the exclusives were supposed to be reasonably cheap afterwards. What gives?

This site is now blocked from my work. I'm spending less and less time at home and my laptop isn't as reliable as it used to be (bad drivers? failing hardware? dunno). As such, I'm not visiting this place as often as I used to. I'm going to try to login at least once every couple weeks... but wish it was more.

For those here in the Seattle community, I will try to make it to the next event as long as I don't have overlap with the Seattle Opera.

I've now been to the following Fred Meyers stores:
196th & 41st (Lynnwood)
Thrasher's Corner (Bothell)
Lake City Way (Seattle)
Aurora (Shoreline)
85th & Greenwood (Seattle)
45th (Ballard/Seattle)

and I've cleared them out of SotM (~$16 each) and RttFF (~$13 each), taking advantage of the board game clearance sale (SotM) AND the buy 2 get 1 free for non-clearance (RttFF).

I'm debating hitting Bellevue and the SE side of things tomorrow or Monday as I gotta head out to Redmond anyway to pick up a botched UPS shipment of even more Scape.

My apologies to my fellow Seattle brethren for jacking all the RttFFs but I need more for some of my maps. All of my driving only netted me 6 RttFFs and 5 SotM so ya can't be too mad at me. Perhaps after I think about the gas it took to drive I'll realize I didn't get such a good deal. :-p

I'm moving Monday and Tuesday. As part of packing I had to bundle all my 'Scape together. I figures it was a fair time to take a couple photos so I busted out my trusty cameraphone and snapped a few. It's amusing because at the time the heroscape pile was more than the moving box pile (I was only ~30% packed).

The pile of stuff:

Since taking these I've filled 2 more 18 qt. containers and a moving box with more 'Scape. I think I might have an addiction. o_o

Sophia and I showed up late having spent more time than expected stuffing our faces with cheese. We were warmly greeted and put into a game. It was a 2 on 2 with Sophia and I playing against 2 teenage boys. I whiffed a couple attacks early, they managed to roll perfect with Minions of Utgar repeatedly taking Cyprien down in round 2. Sophia and I talked a lot about how she needed to move her units together... but she never did. She wasted most of her order markers on until that should not have moved or could not move anywhere meaningful. Raelin moved 1 hex, changing nothing, twice. ... I called the game at the end of round 3. It was a lost cause.

Of note is that while playing I was educated/corrected on rules multiple times by people half my age. It's both humorous and humbling to know that despite what I own and having played this for almost 2 years now, I don't seem to know the rules very well. I still don't get the rationale behind the rules but I've had them confirmed....
