I got in some 500 pt games yesterday with my buddy Bubba. I had Mittens, 2 armoc vipers, and 5 vipers verses his 4 x 4th Mass, raelin, eldgrim, & Sgt. Drake ( 1st ). I should have lost both matches I felt, unless the Frenzy was hitting well. We had 2 unknown glyps and I headed to the left side and came up with +2 move, which gave me 11 move, just what I wanted, he he. I was rolling good frenzies, but what really helped me was Bubba was rolling no defense and was wiffing against my 0 defense. I crushed him, I just used vipers to overrun him. I killed off raelin first, so that was the downfall of the first game.
2nd game we used the same armies, I did not frenzy as much, and he got his Raelin up on height and had guys surrounding her so I could not get any of my range 1 guys beside her. I headed to the other side away from his raelin and started to pick off anyone out of raelins range. both glyphs turned out. to be...

So Gencon 2016 was a success, it was a crazy time to say the least. I won my dice for the 4x500 on day 2, got 2nd on day one for 4x400, I lost to George who I played again on day 2 for the dice, so glad I won one of the 2, he he. I had to take the bus and my stuff was as disorganized as ever. This is a reminder to myself to actually have armies ready to go, even if I change them last minute, that is fine.
So I got to go into the dealer hall an hour early with all the fancy pants people and it was a dream come true for me ( I have been dreaming of this for over 8 years ). I lucked in to being at the very front of the line, and am a very fast walker ( the only person who passed me was running and was being yelled at the whole time, no one passed me, and a couple people working the booths where like - that guy has it going on ). I went right to , wait for it, Plaid Hat games to try and get SeaFall, I have no clue how but people where there before me....

Holy Crap that year went fast, and I have played way way less heroscape, oops. I have been playing HS 2.0 but lets face it Magic HS is just heroscape with extra bells and whistles really , extra hoops to jump through that are hard to remember for the Beer & Pretzel gamer ( i never remember to activate the face down cards ).

So now I need to set up a board or 2 tomorrow and then pull out all the figures, I do have carrying cases for my figures this year, so that is a first. I think I can get in 1 or 2 nights of HS before GC< but I need to think of army builds as well, oh so much HS homework, he he.

Since last year was my worst showing ever, I sure hope to do better this year, I felt so hollow not bringing home the dice, he he. I am excited for the bigger army builds, but of course the time thing will haunt us on that one we all know. A guy with lots of roborats, or the the blastor/gladitron combos, or even the 4th mass...

Just looking over my 3 other lonely blogs here and thought I would write another. It is that time of year and GC is getting close, I have so little HS stuff down here in Costa Rica this year it is kinda sad. I have to set up some GC boards today so I can get some practice in on the real boards, something I always say I will do , but sadly I hardly ever do.
This year with GC coming 2 weeks early I am heading state side sooner this year. The good news is I actually booked my ticket a week earlier then I was planning on so I could get in some Heroscape with SWNinja & his wife, cause they are on vacation the week before GC which means I am heading up 2 weeks early instead of just a week -- as luck would have it WOOKIE is having a tourney in Ohio I will be attending.

So I have not gotten in much Heroscape this year in the jungle, I have actually been playing a lot of Battlelore 2nd ed. - it is ok , but lame compared with HS, but...

Just sitting here, enjoying memories of GC, man Heroscape is just the best game ever, I think the people that play it are a also a lot cooler then most games. It is just such a great group of people and so much fun to hang out with. The scapers are very polite and fun to talk to. You also don´t have to worry about people being rude or stealing your stuff. I left my bag of figures and cards in between almost every match to hit the head and I never once thought to worry about my stuff. I just left it on the table where my last game was played and picked it up before the next one started. After getting 2nd in the championship I just left a pile of winning by the wall and never even worried about any of it walking off ( OK i did keep the dice in my pocket ).

I had the wrong guy to go with the card, or not enough 10th and used a couple of MM and no one ever said a thing, my Marcus was missing an arm and people just laughed and said no worries. Heck I saw people with out...
