Okay, so I finally got a hold of the D2 that I ordered, and here are my thoughts on the look, feel, and (gasp) the bases of the units. (Not quite all of them, mind you, just the notables, good and bad.)

Heirloom - Looks sweet. I can't wait to try him with the Warforged. I've been overlooking him in the theoryscaping, but I will be interested to see if his special attack is sufficient, leaving me with just a heavy hitter to pair with the WS.

Kurrok - Only complaint here is wishing he were Ullar instead Utgar.

Rhogar Dragonspine - By far my favorite sculpt and overall feel. I love his stats, abilities and overall theme. HOW COOL WOULD IT BE IF HE BONDED WITH THE GREENSCALES!!?

Shurrak - Solid sculpt once I got over the weird charcoal face. He has that heavy feeling that he should have. "Knockback" is kind of a kiddy name. Makes me think of when I was little and made up names for my own special powers as my brother...

Okay,

So I'm posting this here so I won't clog up the boards, and just in case there is a thread for this kind of thing. That way, if a site supporter or more experienced Scaper happens across this, they may be able to move it appropriately or help me out.

I've got a map that I'm really excited about. It's a BoV style map (not suggesting that it's BoV quality, just designed with their standards and qualifications in mind). It uses 1 SotM, 1 BftU, and 1 TJ. It has power glyphs, and treasure glyphs (with a neat trap designed into the map). I really, really like this map, and would like to share it with my fellow Scapers.

-BUT!-

I've got a Mac. And I can't run Virtual Scape. And it sucks.

So I'm wondering if there is a Scaper out there who could help me Mod it. If so, what do I need to provide you? I know you'll need pictures, but how many? From what angles? Is there a process we can go through for me to communicate...

If you are like me, then you don't usually have time or space to play HeroScape. But you love playing it. Enter dilemma.

I have come up with a system of organizing and execution that gets a game of Scape going in a matter of minutes. It takes a little time on the front end to set up, but once you do the heavy lifting, it's smooth sailing from there.

The Map

First, you need to pick out a couple maps that you want to play on. I usually circulate between some BoV maps and ones that I'm tweaking (which I would post if there was a Mac friendly way of doing so).

Next, buy some thick cardboard (you can usually find some at WalMart or various hobby stores) to build your map on. This will allow you to store the map under your bed, or in a closet somewhere for quickage (quick usage).

Build the map, trim the cardboard, and store away for future use.

The Figs

I store my figures in stackable plastic...

Well, it's official. I have become a Site Supporter. I have finally contributed something to this site, even if it is just monetary.

And I'm excited about the blog. I'm a bit of a blogger. I know it's hott. This way I can throw some ideas out there without clogging up the threads. In the event that something I say is actually useful, then I can re-post it in the threads.

So anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am finally a legitimate HeroScaper, and thanks to all who make this site everything that it is. I couldn't see myself throwing a Master set and half towards a site, if it wasn't as stellar as this one.

You guys rock!
