Description
The Unoffical Guide to Heroscape has long been the go to source for keeping up with the fiction building around Heroscape.* Now the Unofficial Guide is back under a new name, its updated, and looking great.** Guide creator Annerios writes:

It has been a long time coming, but the Unofficial Guide to Heroscape returns with updates in content, art and design. This edition has so many changes that we have renamed it The Heroscape Compendium.

The Heroscape Compendium has all of the scattered bits of the growing Heroscape storyline from advertising campaigns, flavor text in rule guides, unit biographies, battlefield scenarios and, of course, Thormun's Journal. Now, thanks to the fantastic efforts of Hextr1p and Hex_Enduction_Hour, the guide has an updated interior design that is beautiful to look at instead of just being utilitarian.

Thanks to all of you on the forums that have contributed corrections and suggestions to keep improving this ongoing project. We hope the Heroscape Compendium will continue to serve as a useful reference for all fans of Heroscape.

Has anyone have problems printing this out on a printer with a Duplex?

Great job on this. How do you suggest printing it so that it reads like a book?

Wow, all I have to say is that I can't wait to find a printer.

YES INDEED: WOW! -- Annerios & Hextrip did a GREAT job on this; it is absolutely phenomenal. I downloaded and printed it yesterday and have only read scattered portions so far, but it appears to be an excellent resource I will cherish for as long as HeroScape survives as a viable passtime in my household.

NOTE WELL: Here's a TIP on printing this massive file . . . I too started having problems with overloading the memory capacity of my printer (which btw is only a B&W HP Laser Jet 2015), but I remembered that I had a similar problem everytime I try to print an issue of the Codex. So unless you down load this directly to a "thumb-drive" and take it to a Staples (around here thier copy costs are cheaper than OfficeMax) to let their techie worry about it... I suggest you open the file and when you click on <PRINT> choose the "Pages" option and only print 4 - 6 pages at a time. There are so many graphics in this thing, not to mention the fact that it uses a double page layout that the number of electronic bytes zooming through the wires is astronomical. If this doesn't work for you then try pringing only "The CURRENT Page" as you scroll thru the document. I know it's tedious, but if you really want a hard copy to read and mark up with your own personal notes, then you just got to do it like the Nike commercials say. To make it into more of a BOOK FORMAT, I took the 37 8.5"x11" pages to my paper cutter (scissors would also work) and sliced them all into 8.5"x5.5" halves; reordered the pieces into page number order; and clipped them together since I don't have a big enough stapler for 74 sheets of paper. Then I ran them through a copier at 129% and eneded up with a full sized 8.5"x11" (more easily "readable") version that I punched three holes in and stuck into a three-ring binder. I hope this helps any of you who are perplexed with this issue.

My only wish is that it setup so I could print it duplex in book format.

I know this is an old post but here goes. I have been a long time lurker using this site as my go to research and information on Heroscape. I came across this download while looking up lore. I saw above that someone was asking for different printing formats for this file. I work in the print industry and have the programs and tools available to me to make this happen so i thought why not.

I have currently come up with two different versions. The first being set up so that each page is by itself and not matched up with the other. (Think of it as a binder or a staple packet)

The second version is one i saw specifically asked for. It is layed out in a "true" booklet format. So that like above each page is by itself but when folded in half and stapled or bound in some other way it is like having a paper back book.

My only problem is I dont know how to upload them and add them to the site. (Lurker not poster) can anyone help me with this? I would love to be able to contribute to this site because it has helped me out a lot.

Thank You!
