Number of Players: 2 or 4 on teams
Setup:
This map is for large armies (800-1200 pts for 2 players). If playing teams split the points among teammates. Player or Team 1 starts in the red zone and player 2 or team 2 starts in the blue zone. Neither player can use the Obsidian Guards.
Glyph Placement:
OPTION 1 - Take 2 Glyphs of Brandar and 2 Glyphs of Erland (Summoning) and randomly place symbol side up on the GOLD start spaces. Randomly place the Glyphs of Astrid, Gerda, Ivor, and Valda symbol side up on the CYAN starting spaces. Note that two of the GOLD spaces are adjacent to lava so there is a good chance an Erland glyph will be placed next to the lava resulting in the possibility of being summoned to a HOT LAVA DEATH.
OPTION 2 - Take all the glyphs listed above and randomly place symbol side up on the GOLD and CYAN spaces. This placement will lessen the probability of Erland being adjacent to lava.
Special Rules:
- When a player has a figure standing on a space indicated by the green starting dot (atop the bridge), all figures that player controls (and friendly figures) gain the Lava Resistant power.
- The Glyphs of Brandar summon the Moltarns. When a player lands on a Glyph of Brandar, take one squad of Obsidian Guards and place each figure on an empty molten lava space. If no empty molten lave space is available, the unplaced Obsidian Guards are removed from the game. That player now controls the Obsidian Guards and can begin using them the next round.
Victory:
Achieve victory by destroying all the opponent(s) figures.
