Week@Heroscapers, March 10th 2010

Now that the previews for D1/Wave 11 are behind us, and the rampant speculation is running wildly where it belongs in the individual threads, it's time to get back to our regularly, er, somewhat semi-regularly scheduled Week@Hser's. Enjoy
Image of the Week.
It's hard to limit ourselves to one image when we've had several weeks since our last post. So we will regale you guys - and girls - with a couple of images.
Behold:
Found here! Check out some of Soundwarp SG-1's other work as well.

Nod to a Mapmaker
We want to give a shout out to all our cartographers out there and, in particular, give some recognition to Panopticon this week. He very well could be the next "Silent Cartographer" behind Gamebear, and makes some interesting maps using bilateral symmetry as well as making great use of the SotM master set. Check out his map thread here.
And Finally...
Check out the latest Scaper of the Week interview with mapmaker extraordinaire Dignan at this location (saying "here" all the time seemed to be getting a tad bit old). Next week's interview will be none other than SAG artist Matthias Maccabeus.

It Ain't Broke After All...
According to our resident melee enthusiast and spokesman for the swords-at-gunfights group, Matthias Maccabeus, Yes! Melee can beat the feared Firestorm. Matthias gives a fairly in-depth guide on how to handle the dreaded droves of Fire Elementals backed by the upcoming Kurrok. Nobody does anti-range better, so give it a read today to learn how to snuff out that Firestorm.

Contest of the Week.
I'm out. Just kidding. Just a little nod to a great television show from the '90's. Chief has started a Speed Custom Contest (number 9 for those who keep track of such things) here, involving the D1 units. Check it out and get your entries in. Nod to a Mapmaker

Wow, thanks for the exposure guys! And just to be clear, I'm pretty sure the Gamebear comparison is only due to my low post count.
