It feels like it was only yesterday.

It's been a year since I joined Heroscapers. I've done a lot in that time, but somehow I still feel like a newb. It seems only yesterday I was explaining why I made Torch, when really it was a year ago. I've been looking around at everything I've accomplished since I've been here. I'm not proud of it all, but I wouldn't change any of it. Here's a rundown of some of my favorite things that I've done during my short time here.

My custom units.

This was the first title of the first thread of the first custom that I posted here. This custom is balanced and fun, and still sees play quite frequently. I wish I can say the same for most of the other old customs, but while most of them weren't very good there were a few standouts, and this one stands out above them all. I haven't been able to bring myself to improve the image. It's just a part of the custom, and I like to look back and see how far I've come. I've also started to get into comic customs, which are also a lot of fun.

Project Pokemon.

This was the project that got me really into customs. It's not the biggest or the most famous of the custom projects, but it still feels like home in a way.

How to make stop motion battle reports.

Of everything I've done here at Heroscapers this is one of my proudest achievements. I missed the golden age of customs. There isn't much to do that hasn't been done before. That never stopped me, but it still didn't feel the same. This tutorial is something that hadn't been done before. It was my creation, and I'm glad that I have it.

W@HS.

Image of the week.

Even before I joined Heroscapers I always eagerly awaited the newest article. It was just a small thing that helped show off some of the dedication and creativity of some of the Heroscapers here. I was sad to see it go, so I offered to take over the project for Rym and Truth. I still can't thank them enough for letting a newb like me even attempt something that big, and I hope that I have lived up to their expectations.
C3V.

And finally there was that fateful day when I logged on to Heroscapers and saw a single private message waiting for me. I get a lot of PMs for W@HS, so I never expected what was to come. There was the title "C3V gig" from IAmBatman. Just a simple request asking me if I would be willing to work as the C3V Promotions Director. I had no idea what this meant, and I was very nervous as I discussed the position, but I'm glad I took the job. It's not always easy, but I'm glad I took the challenge. I've gotten to meet and work with some really great people, and I'm glad that I was lucky enough to be given this opportunity.

Of course I've had some less than proud moments here, but I prefer not to dwell on them too much. There's just too much else to do and create to worry about what can't be helped. Thanks to all of the Heroscapers who made this a great year for me, and will make the next one even better.

Thanks for all your great stuff Chardar, in my opinion you're not a newb at all.
