What's the first thing your do when you sit down with a shiny new issue of the HS Codex? If you're anything like me you crack that bad boy open and immediately start thumbing through pages to check out all the beautiful layouts by Atmospro, and the extraordinaire art work by the resident artists. One of the finest and hardest working, of those artists, is our own Hex_Enduction_Hour!

What you may not know is that Hex maintains a thread here in the forums section of heroscapers, wherein he posts his works in progress and other fun artsy stuff he's put his hands to.

Here we see his uber-cool gladiatrons, as featured in HS Codex Issue 4, in various stages of development .

More recently he's done some hyroglyphic-esque sidewalk chalk drawings for...

Grishnakh's Customized Terrain, Part 1: Hex Tiles

Posted May 26th, 2006 at 01:38 PM by truth
Updated April 14th, 2008 at 04:51 PM by truth

The following will change the face of heroscape for many an ambitious reader. Grishnakh shows us all how to, step by step, make our fantastic interlocking heroscape terrain come to life! He's done all the work and now all you have to do is follow his simple steps.

The brown highlighted the hexes way too much for his tastes and made everything look like"hex world", plus the color scheme left a lot to be desired, in his opinon. So, taking inspiration from Games Workshop and some previous work he had done in making a hex based wargame. He bought a master set, got out some paint and some flock and after much trial and error (as well as many trips to the hobby store and the craft store) he arrived at a procedure that he felt looked...
