This article will take a closer look at one of the new units from the Lodin's Discord release: Rygarn. This time-traveling unique hero from Arctorus boasts strong base stats and a way to avoid damage with a d20 roll of 15 or higher, but Rygarn's biggest claim to fame is his Chrono-Key special power.
Chrono-Key allows a myriad of risky tactics to become nearly no risk at all as long as Rygarn is in your army. At the start of a new round, it isn't uncommon for a damaged hero to be behind enemy lines. Do you risk placing an Order Marker on that hero in order to do some serious damage? But if you lose initiative your hero will likely die before you even get to take a turn. With Rygarn supporting your army, you won't lose that Order Marker, because you can just reveal it on any figure you control within 6 spaces of Rygarn. Rygarn is what I consider to be a "safety net"; he makes you consistent because you will almost always have 3 turns per round with Rygarn in your army. Some games you'll place Order Markers perfectly any never need to use Chrono-key. Other games you'll build an army out of all unique squads and use Rygarn almost every turn depending on which figures are in the best position to strike. HoSS
The playtesting thread has been full of bounty hunters as HoSS prepares for its next release. Figures like Bossk and Boba Fett have already made appearances with more units coming down the pipe. While specifics can not be given as to what is coming, we can look forward to some more figures to fill in army holes and some nice additions to the Independent faction. Also moving along are some figures that will make you soar with excitement and that add some punch to your force, but just so long as they prove to be worth the gamble .

In other, and somewhat older, news, the first public figure has been released! 2-1B, created by Heroscaper Guy, provides a nice healer unit into the game. This precise medic never makes a mistake and will heal nearby friendly rebels for up to two wounds. While his price may be a little high for a non-combatant, he certainly makes up for it when he heals a badly injured Obi-Wan who is in the middle of a duel to the death with Vader.



Custom of the Month
This month we're featuring this giant Quasatch Hero made by TREX!


While it uses Tor-Kul-Na as a skeleton, pretty much every visible piece of the figure is custom sculpt. Very impressive work there.
