A Scenario Evolution

Sherman presented the Gang with this to be played next month:

PLAYERS AND ARMIES
Five players will be split into three teams, with two players per team. (One of the players will play as a team of two.) Each player's army can be up to 500 points and 24 spaces. All official, VC and Shermanverse units are allowed, using Delta VC point costs.

VICTORY CONDITION
At the end of Round 8, the team with the most points worth of figures within any opposing start zones wins the game. Partial card scoring will be used.

SCENARIO SPECIAL RULES
All water spaces on the map are Wellspring Water.

SHERMANVERSE SPECIAL RULES
All trees on the map are treated as Jungle Trees. Knockback rules are in effect.

As the Gang now has 5 members, 1 of us must play 2 armies in each game of Chinese Checkers, unless 1 of us can't make it. I enjoyed preparing my armies for Chinese Checkers, and was inspired to create the following, featuring Sherman's customs, that is playable with 4 or 5 players.

Sauron's Resurrection Redux!

Aragorn spoke. "The fate of humanity is at stake! In anticipation of his being destroyed, Sauron sent his minions to your world to hide the fragments of Sauron's Resurrection. Anyone possessing all the fragments will be unable to resist the allure of ultimate power, and will combine them to resurrect Sauron. This must be prevented from happening!"

Armies. 12 Card Snake Draft for 4 players, to be formed into 2 teams.
























Sauron's Sentinels. The [optional] fifth player will field Sauron's Sentinals. They will be placed anywhere on the Map after the other players' figures have been placed. The Brandar's Chests (3) will be placed by the Sentinels player on the Map at the same time, power side down, normally trapped - and indestructible. The Sentinels may not pick them up and, of course, may not acquire VPs for their possession.







Power Program Transfer. If Brainiac is destroyed, and Program Transfer to Ultron is successful, Ultron retains his special powers and stats, and control of his Card. He merely adds Advanced Intellect and Orbital Strike Special Attack to his Card.

Victory Conditions. Sauron's Sentinals are considered a team for the purposes of these Victory Conditions. The team with the most Victory Points (VPs) after 10 Rounds wins. VPs are awarded as follows:

1 VP for possession of each Brandar's Chest, and

1 VP for each opponent's figure destroyed.

However, if any team possesses all 3 Brandar's Chests at the end of 10 Rounds, that team wins regardless of VPs.

I have long been an admirer of C3G. There are a plethora of Cards to create a draft with any theme one might desire. Below is a modification of the above, with 2 teams of Martial Artists attempting to thwart the plans of a team of ex-Galactus' Heralds:

The Power Cosmic!

Norrin Radd spoke. "The fate of humanity is at stake! Galactus' remaining Heralds are coming to this place to recover the fragments of the Source of Galactus' Power Cosmic. These fragments emit waves of energy that fuel the Heralds' Power Cosmic, but prevent the use of technological weaponry. That is why you have been chosen to recover the fragments first. If they succeed, they will become as Galactus, and destroy this world!"

Galactus' Heralds. The [optional] fifth player will field Galactus' Heralds. After the other players' figures have been placed, the Brandar's Chests (3) will be placed by the Galactus' Heralds player on the Map, power side down, normally trapped - and indestructible. Galactus' Heralds do not begin the game on the Map. During Round 2, the Galactus' Heralds player will place a numbered Order Marker on each Herald. When each Herald takes its turn, the Galactus' Heralds player must first place it anywhere on the Map.
