As some of you know, I’ve been working on the Heroscape line in an official manner for a couple of years now. What you may not know is that in that time I’ve also launched a game company by the name of Plaid Hat Games. Well, Plaid Hat Games is proud to announce its first game release – Summoner Wars.

You can find a ton of information on Summoner Wars at its website: http://www.summonerwars.com. So I won’t go into a ton of details, but I will say this: If you like Heroscape, and I know you do or you wouldn’t be here, then you are very likely going to like Summoner Wars. It comes from the same school of design that Heroscape does – easy to learn, fun to play, plenty of strategic depth.

In the humble world of low defence melee units, few are truly victorious. Most people take one passing glance at units like the MacDirks and the Ashigaru Yari and think only of that low defence score. What these squads, and the Ashigaru in particular, need is really A Closer Look.
