Summoner Wars – The expandable card game of tactical combat.

As some of you know, I’ve been working on the Heroscape line in an official manner for a couple of years now. What you may not know is that in that time I’ve also launched a game company by the name of Plaid Hat Games. Well, Plaid Hat Games is proud to announce its first game release – Summoner Wars.

You can find a ton of information on Summoner Wars at its website: http://www.summonerwars.com. So I won’t go into a ton of details, but I will say this: If you like Heroscape, and I know you do or you wouldn’t be here, then you are very likely going to like Summoner Wars. It comes from the same school of design that Heroscape does – easy to learn, fun to play, plenty of strategic depth.

National Heroscape Day 2009

National Heroscape Day is a yearly event put on by Heroscapers.com and supported by Wizards of the Coast. Each year we choose a day in October and declare it National Heroscape Day. Event runner from all around the country prepare Heroscape tournaments and events on this day and invite you to attend.

This is a great chance to meet other Heroscapers, play lots of Heroscape, and take a shot at winning some great prizes.

Rogue A$$asSIN's latest map is this 8-foot marvel of Heroscape engineering. Not only does the map span three tables in length, but it features "true" waterfalls, and even a volcano in mid eruption! This multilevel masterpiece depicts vydar's fortress after an uneasy alliance with Utgar.

Ormus' newest map is a true spectacle of engineering and his photographs of it are a true spectacle of artistry. The map is split into the Dungeon, Spire, Swamp, Desert, Graveyard, Acropolis, River, and the Forest regions, with the spire shown above.


Thread of the Week

Fat Dragon Games has come out with a new addition to their printable terrain designs with the the Hexmaster series. The new cardstock hex terrain includes stone markers, pillars, stonework, and natural cliffs. Check it out here.
