The Heroscape Room

Recently our good friend Erik Arneson at about.com traveled deep into the holiest of heroscape sanctuaries, the hallowed "Heroscape Room". In the words of Mr. Arneson:

"In a nondescript room on the ground floor at Hasbro's office in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, decisions are made that impact everyone who plays HeroScape. Recently, I was fortunate enough to spend some time there. This photo gallery includes a dozen photos taken inside what Hasbro game designers often refer to as "The HeroScape Room"

What's the first thing your do when you sit down with a shiny new issue of the HS Codex? If you're anything like me you crack that bad boy open and immediately start thumbing through pages to check out all the beautiful layouts by Atmospro, and the extraordinaire art work by the resident artists. One of the finest and hardest working, of those artists, is our own Hex_Enduction_Hour!

What you may not know is that Hex maintains a thread here in the forums section of heroscapers, wherein he posts his works in progress and other fun artsy stuff he's put his hands to.

Here we see his uber-cool gladiatrons, as featured in HS Codex Issue 4, in various stages of development .

More recently he's done some hyroglyphic-esque sidewalk chalk drawings for...

Updated April 14th, 2008 at 04:32 PM by truth
Last Saturday was a monumental event for HeroScape and its fans! It marked what heroscapers.com is dubbing: National HeroScape Day.

Players from all over the nation gathered together on Oct. 21st and played at HeroScape tournaments in several locations. The day was given a sense of legitimacy by being backed with prize support from Hasbro itself. Hasbro sent out multiple tower sets to many of the event coordinators. The events were also supported by House Mouse Games with $50 gift certificates to several of the largest events. THANKYOU HOUSE MOUSE GAMES AND HASBRO!!!!!
Event locations included:
DALLAS FORT WORTH, TEXAS

Dallas boasted 38 players and a prize table that would make any heroscape fan giddy.

Recently heroscaper Cupid's Art has been attending HeroScape tournaments with pieces of custom terrain in hand, as prizes. These pieces are beyond spectacular.* Funrun has apparently been following him around taking pictures.* She writes:

I heard he laser etched the detailing into these tiles and columns. I hope he clarifies on this because it is pretty cool. I love how he paints HS figures to look like statues.top view
