The wife and I took the kids to Disney World in Florida last week. We left on May 31st and got back June 7th. Boy we sure had a good time.

The twins are 5 and it was quite awesome to see their faces as they met all the characters to get their autographs and hugs. They also really loved the rides and attractions, and it was great to see them having a blast, though the wife and I had a blast as well.

We flew Southwest Airlines for the first time and it was a wonderful, trouble-free experience.

We stayed on Disney property at a resort called Port Orleans and stayed in the Riverside area as opposed to the French Quarter area. As far as their resorts go, ours was in the moderate range of price. They had hotel buildings that resembled southern plantation mansions. We liked the idea of staying at a Disney resort because of the convenience, especially with the kids. There were several pools within walking distance, as well as the restaurant, food court,...

Freakin' Cramps

Yeah sure I'm going to be 41 next month (June 18th to be exact. Wave 8 would be a welcome gift ), but does that mean I'm hitting the falling apart stage of life?

For some reason that I can't figure out, I've been starting to get leg cramps either in the middle of the night or around 4am, about an hour before getting up for work. It started Monday night and I woke up with the cramp in my shin/calf area, and again the following nights. Heck, lastnight while laying on the couch watching a hockey playoff game, I got a cramp that was not only in the calf/shin area, but also ran up the back of my right thigh in the hamstring area. Then again in the middle of the night several times.

I haven't had leg cramps probably for at least 15 years and then it was an isolated insident and not re-occuring.

Am I going to heck in a handbasket? Anyone else have this experience?

The weird thing is that one of my twins had woken us up one night a...

Future Scaping Haven updated 6/20 on last page

I haven't been Scaping much lately for various reasons, but one of them is that I'm currently finishing my basement. Besides the extra time that it involves, I had to shelve my Scape stuff in order to make room for other stuff during this process.

I used to have several tables set up in the common unfinished portion of the basement, with maps set up for days or weeks at a time.

While I have already built a guest bedroom and office down there, it is now time to finish off the rest of it. It will have a "exercise room" at one end, a bathroom at the other end and a tv/seating area, gaming area and bar area in between.

Here's some pictures of the work in progress. I have it all studded and all the electrical ran. I have sconce lights for general/mood lighting (they are on dimmer switches), lights above the bar and back counter, and four can lights above the gaming area in the center of the common area (they offer great direct light for...
