Printing cards PT2

Putting the plastic to the asphalt tiles.

So now I have my working front and back prototype. A quick swing by office depot and I picked up one of those small cutting boards, some 3mil laminate and some cardstock. Sadly they had no glossy card stock and I was forced to settle for some mat finish stock. You want glossy, it has more vibrant colors.

So I put my images in a word document, because that was the easiest way to do the whole left and right alignment I would need for my print out. Since I always at least have 2 of a figure, this works out.

so you are seeing page 1 and 2. As soon as I printed the images, I didn't shuffle or anything. I just put them back in the printer top side up and printed the images again. Doing this resulted in 2 copies of my card printed front and back on my card stock.

next step I used my cutting board to trim them down and place them in...

Printing cards PT1

Posted October 3rd, 2014 at 07:48 PM by Smoth
I am not going to be a frequent blogger here but some of you may find this useful!

So on this site there is no real guide on printing and having to figure it out myself(sizes, paper types etc) was a real pain. I was able to post on the forum and get a few tips but nothing really worked for me, SO I set out to figure it out for myself.

First and foremost most of you do not do a backside to your cards. If anything it is a rare occasion that I find one with a back. The back image on the site is terrible and all of them on google are horrible! So the first step was to make a back for my cards. With a bit of googling(to get a good version of the logo, cleaning up and just doing it myself I came up with this in photoshop.

The next step was to figure out how large it needed to be to completely cover the card even if there is a bit of misalignment on print. So I broke out a ruler and...

A Declaration of Personal Protest

Well met!

Lamenting the lack of progress in Delta+'s general acceptance among the Community in another thread, I noted that, even among my own Gang of Four, Delta+ pricing is utilized only when I am Host (roughly 1 in 4 games). Clearly my passionate advocacy of Delta+ on this site has had no impact - even among those closest to me. This is unacceptable. Enough is enough. I must go further. I must act. I must do something tangible. Therefore I make this Declaration of Personal Protest.

I will no longer enable those who, through gentleman's agreements, embracing the suck, special rules/scenarios, etc., cling to Classic pricing, with its stultifying metagame, to ignore the evolutionary, and superior in concept, Delta+. In all future games, I will full advantage of all Classic pricing flaws. I will play Q9, Raelin, Rats, Krav, etc., the power monger's dream army, maximum cheese, in every game, until Delta+ has replaced it. Break the game - I will crush

VC
This article will take a closer look at one of the new units from the Lodin's Discord release: Rygarn. This time-traveling unique hero from Arctorus boasts strong base stats and a way to avoid damage with a d20 roll of 15 or higher, but Rygarn's biggest claim to fame is his Chrono-Key special power.
Chrono-Key allows a myriad of risky tactics to become nearly no risk at all as long as Rygarn is in your army. At the start of a new round, it isn't uncommon for a damaged hero to be behind enemy lines. Do you risk placing an Order Marker on that hero in order to do some serious damage? But if you lose initiative your hero will likely die before you even get to take a turn. With Rygarn supporting your army, you won't lose that Order Marker, because you can just reveal it on any figure you control within 6 spaces of Rygarn. Rygarn is what I consider...
