Beginning of 'Scape

Another quick blog, that has no real value to anyone, but I just wanted to say this.
It all really began in '04. I was 6 years old, my 7th birthday coming up. I was in Target, and noticed this really cool looking game with dragons on it. So I said to my dad, who was with me, something like: "Look at that! That looks really cool! Can I please please please get that?" I'm not exactly sure what I said, but it was something like that. So he said something like, "Maybe," and we moved on.
Now, that was in the summer (I think). Now, it's December, after my birthday (the 7th), and Christmas is coming. Like any now 7 year old, I was really excited.
We kind of have a tradition for Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we open a game or two, for the family to play. So I was outside, playing on the 24th, when finally we came in, ate, and opened the presents. One of them was the Rise of the Valkyrie master set. I was really excited, and opened it right away. I experimented with the tiles, and seemed to have read somewhere that the rock was actually water, and was deadly. So I built some maps that seemed humongous, and then decided to open the book. (Before that I couldn't get the water hexes to work, I had them upside down. ) So I read the rules and built The Table of the Giants. I explained the rules to my dad, and we played the basic game scenario. I had a blast, and couldn't wait for tomorrow.
That night, I had a dream where I was a 'Scape figure on The Table of the Giants. I don't remember the exact details, but it ended with me being blown up by DW9k.
The next morning, I got out the 'Scape and read the master game rules. The next game was a master game. Soon after, Order Markers went out the window. That first game was the only basic game of 'Scape I ever played.
So anyway, there ends my account of when this all began.
And extra addition: Heroscapers:
It was about this summer, when I was googling for 'Scape maps. I ran across this site, downloaded tons of maps to play on, had my dad say I was 'wasting ink' (which I probably was, I didn't get around to playing on most of the maps), but anyway, I lurked around for a few weeks, and then decided to join.

Those were the good days. It might be worth mentioning this is only a new beginning.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Awesome that you were introduced to the game at such a young age. I mean... not that you're 'old' or anything... LoL
