Gas Prices and HS

So I want to play HS, but one of the challenges of playing is that when I drive to the gas station, to get gas so I can drive accross the steet to FredMeyer and purchase new Troops, but when I get there I find that I have no money in my wallet, because I just spent it all on Gas about 5 minutes before.
I could always walk to FredMeyer, purchase my Troops then walk back home, but when I try to drive to my buddies house and play with my new Troops I find that I have no money in my wallet for gas so I can't get to his home.
So I call my buddy, and he tells me he just bought some new Troops and wants to play but he can't drive to my house because his wallet is empty!
What is a new HS to do?

Get a bike, then ride to the store, put the new troops in a backpack, then ride to your buddy's place. Or you can get new troops, wait to get money, then get gas and drive there.
