Hyground Tiles

Many of you have probably noticed the promo for Hyground Tiles in the sidebar. If you haven't seen what these guys have to offer, check them out! They look very cool and have obvious use in Heroscape.

Their Kickstarter is underway and if successful, they offered to send us a bunch of their terrain for use to use as prizes for site members. Pretty sweet. (That's why we put up the promo in the first place, as a "thank you.")

If you want to discuss this project, the Hyground Tiles thread is here. This is going to be my first Kickstarter backing.

Re: HyGround

Yeessss . . . indeed . . . it does look "Pretty Sweet!" Someone on a HeroScape FaceBook alerted me to this a week ago, just a few days before the KS went live. So I did check it out and critiqued their web site. They got back to me right away and answered all of my questions. You can now see my comments throughout their FB Page.

Even though the 'wavy' trees remind me of "Whoville" in Universal's theme park in Orlando and are a bit of a turn off, the other terrain enhancements (i.e. waterfall, boat dock, dessert rocks, etc.) are simply amazing.

I also plan to support this KickStarter Project, but right now Mia Fundzalo sinc my wallet is still recovering from several purchases to acquire the figures for Wave 18. Near the end of the month the coffers for my discretionary expenditures will be replenished, so I will reconsider such an investment at that time. Hmm, do I really need MORE terrain tiles? Of course I do!

Hello, my name is John G. and I've been addicted to HeroScape ever since I saw it on display in a Toys-R-Us. I can't stop myself from buying more miniatures. I need your help.

This looks incredible! Would it be possible for the game to get back into motion?

I watched the video and perused their Kickstarter and it all looks great, but would these pieces be compatible with all of the terrain I already have? I know you guys aren't experts on the product, just asking opinion.

@James I too would be interested in seeing the new pieces stacked on top of old HS tiles.

Their product does look great. It really does. The color scheme has a pleasant saturation to it.

I've considered getting the sand tiles. Still on the fence, however.

Check the last couple of pages of their thread here (linked above). They do talk and show how they look with HS tiles.

At the very bottom of the Kickstarter page, there is a link to this youtube video.

Should answer the Heroscape compatibility questions

If these get off the ground in a big enough way, I could see someone like C3V working with them to design a "terrain expansion" ....

I want to support them & their prices are reasonable, but it's hard to justify when I have some many tiles at the moment that only see the rare game .

Maybe just an add-on set will be ok.

I ask myself the same thing, A3n (do I need more terrain), but then I look at their page again. Soooo purdy!!!

As I mentioned--it's my first back. I almost did the first Dwarven Forge Kickstarter a while back, but with zero 'scape use I talked myself down.

I hope this backing thing isn't addictive. If it is, I'll blame Hyground for my woes. (To be fair, I would have backed Xia: Legends of a Drift System if I had known about it.)

We love hearing all your comments everyone! Kickstarter has 1 week left. Keep the pledging coming (remember if we don't reach our goal you will not be charged, one of the great parts of kickstarter! Backing us will help us keep in contact with you and let you know our next plans.) We know we are far from our goal but all your comments and suggestions are giving us a lot of ideas if we re-launch. We want all of you to know that this is just the start and have been working for years on a game to go along with hyground tiles. A future heroscape replacement with characters and all kinds of awesome things. We just decided to start with the terrain first! Any questions please let us know!
