This Scaper needs no introduction! Amazing the presence he's carved for himself on the site and the game's history. For someone so young to accomplish so much - tournament wins and establishing a Heroscape power ranking - I can only imagine what he'll accomplish in gaming in the years to come!

Read on and find out more about this celebrity scaper!

Spider Poison

Age: 23

Occupation? I'm an accounting clerk for my family's local businesses. Basically, it's up to me to find errors done by others so that all the money is accounted for and accurate. I also do various payroll, tax, and other financial tasks as well. It all amounts to endless sheets of data and numbers...it's probably not a lot of fun for most...

"Optimal" commons repackaging

This is way too pointless for a thread, so naturally it belongs in a blog post.

I was thinking about the odd combinations of units that have been released in various common packs, as well as in the SOTM set. If we assume that the same number of packs had to be released over time, what would have been the "best" way to package these commons, from a hardcore HS consumer's perspective? I'll take into account three criteria:
  1. Figures that you might want in roughly similar quantities should be packaged together.
  2. Figures that could be used together effectively are nice to put together.
  3. Figures that are thematically linked can be put together, all things being equal.
So, without further ado, some pairings.

I love you just the way you are:
  • Zombie Horde
  • Knights Templar
  • Marro Cavalry
  • Spearmen and Riflemen
Obviously the first three go great with themselves, and the Ashigaru pack is similarly great.

Slam Dunks:
  • Gladiatrons and Blastarons
  • Arrow

It has been a while since I have been around. It feels like I betrayed family or something. There are a lot of new faces and plenty of old ones so I am looking forward to settling in again and meeting some new folks to chat with.

I have been pretty busy with the real world stuff it appears there is some light at the end of the tunnel finally. Here is what has been going on for the most part.

The bad stuff that has happened:
- Folks around me losing their job, and trying to do what I can to help them out.

-My house is falling a part a huge limb went through the roof, I have it rigged but I am going to have to wait until spring to do it right.

-Garage door broke which results in me having to park in the yard because of the slant of the driveway. It isn't much of a yard now though it is more of a mud bog.

- I had a ton of stuff in the garage and I can't readily get to my terrain supplies, and I can't bring them in because...

Custom trees are mostly there to pretty up the battlefield and provide LOS blockage. But Jandarforever created some trees that have a functional component: they can be climbed and fired down from! And they look very good, too. I'm sure I'm with most 'Scapers when they say they can't wait for Jandarforever to put some foliage on them in order to add his creations to the many ways that folks have customized the way the game is played!

Marvel Spotlight: The Reinforcements Arrive?

Many MarvelScapers have long waited for the release of Marvel Wave 1: The Reinforcements Arrive. Unfortunately, we are still awaiting the release, but Garada has compiled a list of all the current customs and heroclix figures of that would be in Marvel Wave 1 to tie us over until that long awaited day.

Melee Mixer

Melee Mixer is a straight-up 2-player map. I finally got around to opening my RotV which I won at TTO 2008, and when I saw the pieces it hit me: that set really had a lot of terrain! I wonder what I can make with just 1 master set... And so this map was born.

Update: Some of the forum members suggested changes to terrain height in a few places and glyph locations. I have updated the downloadable PDF.
