C3G Interview
Spidey’tilIDie
Author: LordEsenwienIV

Time once again to go back to a classic interview with C3G’s first fan, Spidey! Even though this one originally aired back on March 30th, 2011, it still feels pretty fresh. Enjoy.

What do you like most about being a C3G Hero?
I really enjoy the chance to take characters I have loved for years and attempt to translate them to a game that I am really still learning. Honestly, I think Griff, Hahma, and Bats are three of the best players out there. I am amazed at how they continually find ways to put designs into interesting conundrums to first break them, and then figure out a way to keep the idea and also fix them. I really do love comics. I sometimes wonder if I come off as a know-it-all when I post info; believe me, that is not my intent. My family says I am the King of

PROFILE

Who are you really?
Stephan Johnson. I’m just a dude that likes creating.

How old are you?
28

What is your occupation?
“Business Analyst” would be the title. I work for a company that has a website and automated system when customers call in. So I work hand in hand with the developers of those systems, to make sure that what is developed is working as it should. I’ll write acceptance criteria, detailing how it should work, then test and make sure it works once it is created.

What’s another board game/RPG you enjoy and why?
I enjoy D&D. Played for a couple of years with friends as

C3G Interview
quozl
Author: Tornado and the C3G crew

Following up from the last old interview, here are some fresh questions for quozl. I recruited the other members of C3G to join in on this one and provide the questions for this long-standing member of C3G. First up, quozl has a question for himself ...

[quozl] What has changed with you in relation to Heroscape since the last interview in 2011?
I still love Heroscape but I play it a lot less than I did in 2011. My daughter and I have been exploring other games like Frostgrave and RPGs. We still play Heroscape once in a while but not nearly as much as we used to.

[Bats] What do you hope to see out of the next ten years of C3G?
I’d like to see a lot more scenarios, destructible objects, and obstacles added to the game.

[japes] I know you at one point

C3G Strategy Guide
Jason Voorhees
By: Lazy Orang

Since a new C3G release has just dropped, bringing plenty of classic horror movie villains to the battle of all time, it’s time to piggy back on that and review C3G’s first slasher.

Analyzed Statistics

Left Box Breakdown
Species – Undead (can be activated by Dracula or Judge Death, or allow Judge Mortis to attack through Dark Judgement; provides a significant number of both immunities and weaknesses)
Uniqueness – Unique Hero
Class – Slasher (can be activated or resurrected by Pinhead, adds 3 to Chucky’s Child’s Play roll if Jason’s the one who triggered it, and can benefit from Sam’s Trick ’R Treat and Hallowed Tradition)
Personality – Relentless (no effect

Customs Creation - October 2018

Posted October 22nd, 2018 at 04:28 AM by HS Codex

Customs Creation
Criticism: Giving and Taking
Author: Scytale

Creating custom Heroscape units is a lot of fun. Even more fun is seeing them played in games. You can create all the customs you like and play them in your home games; plenty of people do so and have great fun doing it. Some like to take that next step and share their creations with the online Heroscapers community. Of course, it’s nice when someone else prints out and uses your designs in their games (as a creator, there is no greater compliment), but the true value of our generous community is in their invaluable critiques. Refining a unit with your own playtesting and your local group is all well and good, but the broad experiences, varied tastes, and discerning eyes of the people that frequent the customs community can really help to raise your customs to the next level.
