Valkyrie General Figures: Thoughts?

A few other members and I got into a discussion yesterday about what Valkyrie General figures would look like if they made them. The discussion got interesting enought that I figured it deserved its own blog. My FIRST blog, even!

Here is my comment: You could probably have searched the forums for "Valkyrie General Figures" and gotten a link to one of the many other previous threads on why this isn't a good idea, but at least you didn't make a thread. Welcome back to the site (as you seem to have been in active for a couple months).

Thanks for giving me an YET ANOTHER opportunity to practice patience! I started getting involved in this site because I love Heroscape and enjoy talking about it with others who do. But it seems like I keep running into people who have absolutely NO patience with obvious newbies! So how about cutting me some slack and dialing back the sarcasm a bit, huh? For someone who's never been into the online community, this site is extremely confusing. I barely know the difference between a blog and a forum, (and in fact I couldn't figure out how to start a forum, which was my first instinct), I don't know what a thread is at all, and I don't understand why it takes 3 steps to get to where you can vote in the Battle Royale. Maybe I just haven't learned yet! LIGHT BULB!!! Is there anyone here who's nice and can help a guy out? Or even better, is there a tutorial or a guidebook on how to use this site? Seems like it's pretty much geared toward those who already know everything about online communities. But I guarantee there are plenty of people out there with valid opinions and who are good at this game, who haven't gotten involved because the whole thing intimidates them! Anyway, I'll get off my soap box now. Kind suggestions are always welcome. Hopefully I'll get to see more of those in the near future.   |

That someone who could show you around was Aldin, he sent a 'Welcome to the Site' PM. If you don't have it, I could copy mine and pm it to you so that you could just go through it. No one is trying to be mean, they're just trying to stop the amount of unnecassary posts or blogs. Besides, forums are much easier IMO to talk in rather than blogs.
