Classic Continuation Customs

Posted December 19th, 2010 at 03:04 PM by killercactus
I've finally gotten around to learning GIMP and making some pretty good custom cards. Here are the 2 cards I've made so far. I have a lot more ideas for classic continuation cards in this thread, which I hope to find minis for and make cards for soon.

Here is Ardynale - the 9th Elf Wizard. She is the wife of Chardris, and the mother of Jorhdawn. She can also summon forth the power of fire, and manipulate it swiftly to attack multiple foes:

And now my favorite custom so far (including cards and ideas) - the Skeletal Slashers. They fought on Feylund with Cyprien Esenwein, helping the vampire Lord to press his advantage across the land. When these undead warriors are struck down, their threat is not abated. Their grisly remains will slow advancing armies, and those that have mastered the Dark Arts will reanimate the bones, bringing the Slashers back to wreak havoc once more!

Thanks for checking out my customs! I haven't done a lot with customs prior to this, but I'm looking to get in on the action!

These are pretty good! They fit in with 'scape quite nicely.

Thanks, Arrow Grut! I'm really looking forward to playtesting the Skeletal Slashers a bit. I just love the feel of the unit.

I'd say without a dice roll, the Skeletal Slashers are underpriced. I like the concept though

You really think so? I think Cell Divide will prove to be more powerful than Reanimation in the end. The Dividers can bring back two of their fallen once every 5 kill shots, regardless of where they have their Order Markers. The Slashers can get one back per turn, but you have to have an OM on a Lord or Shaman to do it, and the opponent can prevent them from coming back by stepping on their markers (and Large and Huge heroes don't even have a penalty to do it).

I think the movement penalty will prove to be a bigger asset to them than Reanimation, but I confess that I haven't tested them out yet. I hope to get them on the battlefield with Cyprien soon.
