The Heroscape Codex revival is back and better than ever in their second issue!


New features and improvements abound, ranging from a spiffed-up layout to a new "Community Watch" page. New articles include a preview of Heroscapers.com's upcoming upgrades, a detailed strategy report for C3V's popular Cathar Spearmen, and a get-to-know you interview with the instigators of BCoV, an up-and-coming customs group. There's also some great sketches done by the talented Art department of the Codex Staff.

With the release of the newest Codex, the Codex staff is launching an online presence. A new Twitter account (@HeroscapeCodex) and a new Facebook page (/hscodex) have been set up. These social media outlets will be used to keep fans of the Codex updated on recent announcements, as well as spreading the word around the web...

If you haven't heard the news already, the Heroscape Codex is back! The magazine originally ran all the way from before Heroscapers.com existed, to 2009, when the last issue was released. You can find the old copies here.

Last December, a small group of Heroscapers got together and revived the magazine. Many things have changed slightly from that first issue of the Codex to the first issue of the Codex Vol.2, as it's been dubbed, all the way from its appearance to the focus of its content. However, the goal is still the same: to produce a high-quality publication representing all things 'Scape! The Codex Staff has even taken on the challenge of making the Codex a monthly publication.

Obsidian Attack at Steam Alley is a 2 player scenario that uses 1 Swarm of the Marro Master Set, 1 Ticalla Jungle Set, and 1 Volcarren Wasteland Set. It uses a new battlefield called Steam Alley.

The Song of the Pillars is a 2-3 player scenario that uses 1 ROTV, 1 SOTM and 2 Ticalla Jungle Sets. It uses a new battlefield called Aveniul's Threshold.

A bit of background on the first 3 scenarios. They were all created during the development of Wave 10. That is why you'll see Ticalla Jungle in all 3 of the scenarios. Song of the pillars is a great skirmish scenario that we had a lot of fun creating. I hope you guys get as much enjoyment out of it as we did.
