The Aaryglynn .pdf recently posted to heroscape.com has been fixed and a new scenario has been added to the Aaryglynn battlefield.

The Door to the Inner wall has been destroyed and the wallwalks have been breached.* Aaryglynn now stands at the threshold of defeat.* The attacking Armies, sensing a victory, charge headlong into the Inner Wall - oblivious to the return of Aaryglynn's Army of elite, battle-hardened warriors just beyond the Outer Wall.* In this battle, nothing but total destruction awaits for one Army.*

This strategy discussion kind of ties together a couple of previous topics of mine “Don’t Forget to Move!” and “In Game Point Value” where I introduced the concept of IGPV (in game point values). On a high level, it is nothing more than a dissertation on the importance and value of a figure’s placement on the battlefield in relation to everything else that is going on in the battle. However, I specifically want to focus on when Disengaging might be the best thing for you to do during a game.

First off, I want to start off with a couple quick hits…

“No one escapes the Cyberclaw!” If you are currently engaged with a figure that has the Cyberclaw Special Power (currently Major X17 and Gladiatrons), then Disengagement is not an option for you.

“There’s no crying in Heroscape!” It is rarely a good idea to attempt to Disengage from a figure who possesses...

Wow! This is something new from the guys at Heroscape.com. The newest Battlefield and Scenario requires 2 Master Sets and 2 Fortress of the Archkyrie sets. This is the biggest map to date from the official channels. It's a real shout out to the hardcore fans who purchase multiple sets. The Scenario is for 3-4 players and one of the players gets to draft a 1,000 point army. The Scenario also says "Act 1" thus suggesting that another Scenario may be on its way using this battlefield. Heroscape at Comic Con & Gen Con
This week I wanted to start off with a thread about a news item on the official HeroScape website. On Friday Hasbro announced officially that they will be attending Comic Con in San Diego this July and Gen Con in Indianapolis this August. Now we can all begin speculating what this means in terms of release dates and the like. Post your thoughts and see what other folks are guessing.
