Scape and the Chess Champion

My eldest son is a chess champ.

He became interested in the game when he was three- except he played by his own custom rules. The rooks nearly always turned into cannons and shot pawns at other figures.

As the years past (he’s 13 now) he learned to play the more accepted way and has become an ace player. Last year, I was able to stalemate him one game. He beat me every other time.

Last week he won a local championship, and he’s now headed for the provincial championship games.

I am of course very proud of him but also very interested in his approach to chess, and to Heroscape and how the two compare. (he also beats me in Scape all the time)
So I did a mini-interview with him while we were on our way to the Speech Competition (which he also won).

ME: How do you think Chess compares to Scape?
HIM: Scape is a more complex version of chess.
ME: Which do you like...
