Looking good
Nice versatility in the units! It is not going to be easy to decide what units to activate, I guess. I am really looking forward to seeing the heroes and then fielding the wolves in battle. |

Well I didn't wait that long haha! I already fielded the first 2 unique wolf squads last week with 3 squads of Blade Dancers, and a few Badrus. Glad to know I can drop the Badrus now for more proper varkanaan action.

Another fun release, great job guys!
The Greyspears have that simple elegance about them that is always a pleasure to see, I expect that they will not have much trouble taking their points. I think the Darkblades are a serious force to be reckoned with, but you will have to be careful about where you send them and when you send them there. I'm already excited for next week and can't wait to see what else you guys have cooked up. |

Another great wave pack! I'm looking forward to fielding the Wolf Pack at my gaming groups next hang out.
I'm excited about that hero pack too, and seeing what those hero wolves bring to the build. |

We tried out all 4 squads of Werewolves last night, and they were pretty amazing. Can't wait to see the Heroes joining the fray. Thank you!

Me Too!Well met! I, too, would like to see a Battle Report. Clearly, you'd rarely be fielding enough points to include all the Wolf faction units, so it would be interesting which ones you fielded, and with what other units as allies, as well as what units opposed them. I'd be inclined to leave one of the squads out of the mix. That would leave me with 170-210 points for some real range and/or one of the Raelins - and/or one or two Wolf heroes, once they are released. For example, on this map 120 Darkclaws 100 Quickblades 100 Syvarris 100 Wyvern 80 Swiftfangs 500 points, 13 spaces (the points and Start Zone spaces available for a Player in a Team game on this map) [Oops! Only 12 spaces per army.] would allow me to do more than just charge headlong into the fray - using Syvarris to force the enemy to come to me. The Wyvern is, of course, a huge threat to small/medium units here, with the Molten Lava at the center of the map. Or I could take the ubiquitous (at least in my armies) Kaemon/Raelin combo. I could imagine using as few as two of the unique squads, Raelin SotM (which I particularly like with the Wolf squads), and some combination of Wolf heroes and Syvarris, Kaemon, or the Krav, depending on the number of available spaces. Incidentally, given that all the Wolf faction units are large, and cannot use Ladders, I see no need to re-base them, do you? |

If I were to only run 3 squads, the Greyspears would be my last choice to drop. The Swiftfangs are too squishy to put more than one OM on most of the time, so the Greys get most of the OMs for the fourth attack. The squad I would drop depends on the map, what support I was going to use, and how many points I had left.
Most of the time, though, I think it's not worth it to run fewer than all 4 squads. |

Depend on how many points you are going for.
500 or less, you may want to drop a squad to add on a Hero. 500-600 4 Squads and 1 Vark Hero 600-700 4 Squads and two Vrak Heroes 700+ 4 Squads and 3 Vark Heroes. Or you can add in some Blade Dancers for some Bread & Butter. |
