Just tonight I went out for an after dinner stroll with the family. We usually walk along this abandoned stretch of road.

The other day I walked under a tree that had a TON of bird droppings on around the base.
I looked up wondering what had roosted or nested there and found nothing at the top for evidence.

I wondered if there were owls in the area.

Well tonight's walk was different. Along the same stretch of road (sidewalk - it's literally a stretch of road that was never finished, complete with sidewalks), but one tree BEFORE the droppings tree, I find all these Brilo type scouring pads. It suddenly occurred to me there were too many to be discarded scouring pads and they could be owl pellets.

I ripped one opened and found tiny teeth and ribs inside - OWL PELLETS!

What are owl pellets?
They're the fur, bones, and whiskers of field mice. The stuff owls can't digest, so they regurgitate it up and...

Hello everyone, it has been a while since the last blog so I guessed it was time for another. The comics are taking a hit next to the wonderful release of the new Heroscape figures. You have to take some bad with the good. I, however, will not cease making the comics.

What I wanted to talk about today was about the slight shift the comics are taking at the moment. I decided I wanted to make some longer comics and perhaps make them a little more story driven. Perhaps some day I will combine all the new and old comics in one grand and glorious story. but until then it will suffice to have the fun short, and joke driven comics seperate from the story driven comic.

I opened a new thread with such a "story" driven comic. It is entitled: "The Adventures of Chedwick and Sven: The Finding of Steve", and it chronicles....well.....the finding of Steve. Steve will be the first new character introduced to the comics. Currently the comic is 12 panels...

The wife and I took the kids to Disney World in Florida last week. We left on May 31st and got back June 7th. Boy we sure had a good time.

The twins are 5 and it was quite awesome to see their faces as they met all the characters to get their autographs and hugs. They also really loved the rides and attractions, and it was great to see them having a blast, though the wife and I had a blast as well.

We flew Southwest Airlines for the first time and it was a wonderful, trouble-free experience.

We stayed on Disney property at a resort called Port Orleans and stayed in the Riverside area as opposed to the French Quarter area. As far as their resorts go, ours was in the moderate range of price. They had hotel buildings that resembled southern plantation mansions. We liked the idea of staying at a Disney resort because of the convenience, especially with the kids. There were several pools within walking distance, as well as the restaurant, food court,...

So there was a post in the Forums today that got me thinking about what makes a great game.

So I figured I would put my thoughts down in my blog and see what I came up with.

The game must be fun, no one likes to play a game that is not fun, that is why it is called a game for crying out loud.

The game must be simple to learn. It is no fun to have to wade through pages and pages of rules to learn how to play. We have all played games like this and most of the time they do not last, because no one can play because they get board with reading the rules.

The game must not only be simple to learn, but difficult to master. This is something that I feel is very important. If a person can master a game in a matter of minutes it is really worthless. An example of this would be when me and my brothers got our first Nintendo Entertainment System and we got the game Contra. My brother and I beat it in about 3 hours....
