Masha Shingai vs. Praetorian Guard

Posted December 7th, 2019 at 05:07 AM by Astroking112
GROUNDS OF ASHRA by Jaes Shurrig

Glyphs: Wannok (Wound), Kelda (Healer)
Astro: Masha Shingai, Tagawa Samurai Archers x4, Izumi Samurai, Raelin (500)
Leo: Felix, Avita, Roman Legionnaires x3, Marcus Decimus Gallus (500)

SURVIVING UNITS:
5x Tagawa Samurai Archers
~110 Points Left

GAME SUMMARY:
Both Leo and I made a beeline for Wannok early on. I managed to make it there first and pod up effectively with Raelin, clearing out some Legionnaires with a boosted Counterstrike. Leo's Praetorian Guard customs then rolled in and almost one-shotted my Raelin with their spear throws, but they failed to break through my TSA barrier thanks to some solid defenses. I managed to get in some lucky potshots against Felix, and Masha got a Fiery Retribution to finish him off.

By that point, I had effectively podded up in the center of the map with a squad of TSA. They kept taking shots at the Legionnaires and Marcus...

FFC #41 - An update which might or might not be irrelevant

Posted December 4th, 2019 at 02:03 AM by The Grim Reaper's Friend
TGRF's Fan Fiction Chronicles - Entry #41

When I posted my last update, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything I've been learning about character arcs and how to construct them. Since then things have died down a fair bit and I feel like I have a good grasp on the positive character arc, and at least a solid understanding of the flat character arc. I have not looked at the negative character arc yet, but that's planned.

I have, as I said, run up a few bare-bones outlines as tests for working with character arcs. These tests used the Valkyrie, as they appear in Eternity, my final fan fiction series. Specifically, they dealt with their backstories.

I still plan on writing those short stories up and posting them. But there's still some kinks I need to work out in the process, especially with the flat character arc, which I only really began to get a grasp on today.

I had been planning on restarting my Personal Challenge,...

C3V Interview
Dad_Scaper
Author: quozl

quozl here: I took the questions posted in the interview thread and posed them to Dad_Scaper to answer. And here are those answers!

Thanks for all of these excellent questions, everybody. I’ll answer them as best I can. Please remember that my friends and colleagues in the C3V might answer these questions differently from the way I do, and even though I say “we” a lot, I’m just talking about my perceptions & opinions about what “we” do.

Here we go!

A landscaper reforms the land where they are working, to make it look nicer. With this in mind, what exactly does Dad_Scaper do to dads to make them better?

A DadScaper makes dads better by encouraging them to internalize the following pearl of wisdom: Whatever you do as a parent is the wrong thing. You’re always

Thanksgiving, Fakesgiving, And Pizza

Posted November 29th, 2019 at 03:50 PM by flameslayer93
It’s the day after Thanksgiving and we all have things to be thankful for. This year my family has decided to do Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday, and we ate pizza. The pizza was pretty good, so no complaints there.

I’ve nicknamed this year “Fakesgiving”, but at least we have a lot of things.

1) We ain’t homeless.
2) We have food in our bellies.
3) We have utilities, internet, and cell phones.
Soooo many cell phones lol.
4) I have my fiance, @LoveElemental . She supports me in all ventures.
5) I have heroscape, and all the friends and memories its brought me.

And onto the more materialistic things...

6) Our Caravan just had the brake pads replaced, so we won’t die when we’re driving in the snow.
7) We recently got a working PS4 and a Nintendo Switch. More Switch games to come in the future.
I just had another tooth pulled. That makes 4. We can only guess as to how much root canals...

I Hear You - or Do I? Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Well met!

I've been going back and forth over various versions of these two customs for over 2 months now. Suggestions were made. I tried many and adopted a few. I laid out new, edited versions every day or so. Yet only now have I really taken in a couple of suggestions that lead to the far more acceptable versions below. There is a lesson here somewhere . . .

P.S.: Happy Thanksgiving to all! I am grateful for this community and for the existence of Heroscape.
