Authentic Figure Bases (for Customs) for Sale or Trade

I am selling/trading original Hasbro Heroscape bases for your customs, taken from several RotV master sets. I removed the figures as carefully as possible, then "graded" and sorted the bases according to how cleanly they came apart.

Restoration

In some cases I "restored" the little rips in the grass decal with my own special recipe of 11 secret herbs and spices. (Nothing toxic or illegal. Or weird.) I varied the visual texture of the restoration so as to blend in the patches as much as possible. In the close-up scans below you can see the restorations, but on the battlefield in normal play they will blend in without distraction.

Pricing

I'm not quite sure how to price these, but I at least have to set a price that keeps me from losing money vs. selling the original figure sets on eBay. I have to make worst-case assumptions that some will sell quickly and others will languish, requiring a later price reduction (not unlike the problem folks such as House Mouse face with the commons and uniques in a wave). The prices below are based on appearance, rarity, desirability, and production effort; these are my best guesses at a compromise between an affordable price for you and a reasonably low chance of loss for me.

Prices here assume you want a good-size batch of bases; if you only want a very small number, I will also need to add a little bit to cover the PayPal fees (which are disproportionately large for small amounts of money). Also plan on some shipping cost unless you want a lot of bases (or you want to trade, in which case I pay the shipping).

If you are interested, please PM me (I may or may not have time to monitor the blog comments).

Okay, enough with the blah blah blah. I suppose we should start with the least expensive ones and work our way up, eh?

Single bases, restored:

Figure cut off; footpeg left in place and flush with the base (in case you want to cover with your own decal). Damage to the decal was apparent; I performed restoration using my secret recipe.

Single bases, unrestored:

Figure cut off; footpeg left in place and flush with the base (in case you want to cover with your own decal). Damage to the decal was zilch or minimal, so no restoration was needed. There are tiny white spots near the footpeg where the original glue lifted little bits of the decal, but probably a boot, wheel, or tentacle on your custom will cover these.

Single bases, without footpegs:

Figure pulled out of hole; no footpeg (so you can use your own fastener or a peg already on the custom). Damage to the decal was zilch or minimal, so no restoration was needed. There are tiny white spots near the footpeg where the original glue lifted little bits of the decal, but probably a foot, snowshoe, or alien poison stinger on your custom will cover these.

Special singles:

These are the bases from the Deathwalker 8000 (extra large) and Raelin (foot holes in the center). Figure cut off; footpeg left in place and flush with the base (in case you want to cover with your own decal). On some of these, damage to the decal was apparent so I hit 'em with the secret recipe.

Double bases, restored:

Figure cut off; footpegs left in place and flush with the base (in case you want to cover with your own decal). Damage to the decal was apparent so the secret recipe fairy visited them in the middle of the night.

I also have some doubles that needed no restoration, or very minimal restoration.

Again, if you want some of these, PM is the way to go. If you post a comment to this blog entry I will probably ignore you or tell jokes about you to my friends. (Oh wait, I don't have any friends, just online acquaintances.)
