The scenarios have lots of fun and creative special rules. The Struggle for Reinforcements Scenario on the Bloodred River Battlefield includes special rules like slowly placing your army two cards at a time as the game progresses and a Thin Ice rule when landing on an ice space that is next to a water space.

Among the new scenarios are battlefields that include terrain from the up and coming Swarm of the Marro Master Set, as Hasbro continues to hype us up for this new set.

Marvel Legends HeroScape has finally arrived at HouseMouseGames.com and is shipping out to eager fans, all over the world. I received mine last Friday and since I’ve had some good time to play with these figures already, Truth has graciously allowed me to write a quick review of this inaugural Superhero Master Set.

My first impression of this exciting new setting in the HeroScape system was that the Master Set box wasn’t very big. This is primarily due to the smaller amount of included terrain than you’d find in a ‘classic’ HeroScape Master Set. Ostensibly this was done to keep games close-up, fast, and personal and it definitely works as anticipated. Battles in the Marvel Legends game are frenetic, hard-hitting slug-fests – perfectly suited to the ten powerful Marvel superheroes included in the Legends Master Set. Super-powered...

The Warden is a Soulborg from a never before seen planet: Isadora.* Isadora has been mentioned before though.* It is identified as a prison planet in the Blastatrons bio, as seen on the official site.** I really like his sculpt, looks like something out of an Indy Comic.* His Guard Leadership ability gives a new reason to draft the under-used Zettians.
