So there's a tournament I'm going to Dec. 29th. I've got a few army ideas that I'll post here. If there's one that you think would be best, let me know.

The tournament is a 340-point, 2-on-2, 36 spaces/team.

My first thought:

DCoT x4 (220/220)
MBS (50/270)
Nerak (50/320)
Marcu (20/340)
340 Points, 17 spaces.
__________________________

But I kinda want to use a hydra...

Hydra (120/120)
Stingers x3 (180/300)
Rats (40/340)
340 points, 15 spaces.

Hydra (120/120)
Raelin (80/200)
Rats x3 (120/320)
Marcu (20/340)
340 points, 16 spaces.

I'm also a big fan of elementals and Ashigaru, but those wouldn't really work.

Maybe...

Nilf (185/185)
Greenscales x2 (120/305)
Marcu (20/325)
Isamu (10/335)
335 points, 10 spaces.

Update: a few more armies:
__________________________

10th Reg x2 (150/150)
Cyprien (150/300)
Rats (40/340)
340 points, 13 spaces.

Hydra (120/120)
10th Reg x2 (150/270)
Marro Warriors (50/320)
Marcu (20/340)
340 points, 15 spaces.

Sir Hawthorne (90/90)
Death Knights x4 (240/330)
Isamu (10/340)
340 points, 10 spaces.
__________________________

Mezzodemons x4 (260/260)
Raelin (80/340)
340 points, 9 spaces.
5 DEF 8 Markers.

Mezzodemons x5 (325/325)
Isamu (10/335)
335 points, 11 spaces.
I hope I don't annoy my opponent too much with this.
Or that my opponent has a special attacker.

If you have any other suggestions, let me know. If I come up with some more, I'll add them onto the list.

With this army don't you have 8 markers.

DCoT x4 (220/220)
MBS (50/270)
Nerak (50/320)
Marcu (20/340)
340 Points, 17 spaces.

Just thought I'd point out that Matthias Maccabeus won the NE Skirmish IV with a DCoT army. Let me dig that up real quick...

EDIT: Found it!
DCoT x5
Ogre Pulverizer
Nerak
Bacon

Army 1:

60 Samuel Brown
280 4th Mass x4
340, 17 hexes

Army 2:

90 Ne-Gok-Sa
100 Marcus Decimus Gallus
150 Roman Legionnaires x3
340, 14 hexes

MDG can provide the attack bonus for the 4th Mass without compromising their valiant defense.

If you go the DK route, I would be rather reluctant to use Hawthorne in a 340 point game. If he stabs you in the back, you are limited to only 2 attacks per turn with the DKs.

I suggest:
Death Knights x3 180
Dumutef Guard x4 100
Zetacron 60
340 points, 16 spaces
~You can set up a nice perimeter around Zeta, allowing him to snipe away at appropriate threats such as auto-wounders (what your high-defense knights fear the most).

I'll fix that.

dok, Filthy the Clown:
Thanks for the ideas!
I'll definetly consider those.

Lord Pyre:
Or maybe:
Taelord
Marro Drudge
