Amberhive Protectors
Many an unfortunate traveler through the meadows of Braunglayde have inadvertently wandered across the borders of the Amberhive Dominion. Those who do quickly find themselves overwhelmed by the Amberhive Protectors. These giant bees fight fervently with no regard for their own safety, eager to give their lives in service to their Queen.

The figures used for this unit are Safari Ltd. figures from the Good Luck Minis set. Its model name is Bumble Bees.

Makwa Tribesman
Also joining Aquilla's forces is the Makwa Tribesman. In Valhalla, the Makwa Tribesman finds a home with both the Makwa and Mohican tribes. Each one can lead the Hunting Party with the Teeth of the Makwa, aided by his own Hunt of the Makwa, or he can follow the War Cry of the Mohican River Tribe into battle.

Glad to see the bees finally released! I thought they would have been Ullar though. Any particular why they went to Aquila instead?

Nice! Does Shield of the Great Bear only work on the Makwa Tribesman if the wounds will destroy (ie remove) the figure?

No, it works on any attack. Just using the standard wording from the Teeth.

Zetsubo, they could have gone either way. Poisonous stinging bugs seemed Aquilla; "Protectors" of some natural resource seemed Ullar. You could add considerations to both sides of the equation, I know we did. Ultimately, we saw the decision-making needle pointing toward Aquilla, but if there is in some alternate universe a different C3V saying Ullar, I have no complaint about that, either.

'Shield of the Great Bear' triggers when "you receive 1 or more wounds", and in those situations where those would have destroyed the tribesman, it will happen "before removing the figure". So it triggers regardless of whether the wounds are enough to destroy.
