C3G Interview
Author: LordEsenwienIV

Greetings. Here comes a real blast from the past from one of C3G’s youngest members ever. He eventually worked his way up to Hero status and recently has been making a little noise again in the the land of Heroscapers. It is an honor to present this interview with Scapemage from 5-28-2011.

What is your favourite aspect about C3G?

My favorite aspect of this project is the opportunity to be a part of something big and important.

What made you want to join C3G?

Again, it’s the ability to feel part of something important. And, at the time, the ability to design customs and get expert feedback.

What is your favourite part about being a C3G Art Department member?

I love the Art Department. Learning how to make the cards and all

C3G Strategy Guide
Black Mask (Roman Sionis) (I)
By: Lazy Orang

Ranked as a D in the power rankings, Black Mask is often considered one of the worst figures in C3G. While I can certainly see why people would be of this opinion, I myself strongly disagree—he may not set the world on fire, but he’s cheap, solid and perfectly effective. Let me demonstrate.

Analyzed Statistics

Left Box Breakdown
Species – Human (slight synergy and a few weaknesses, but nothing major or relevant here)
Uniqueness – Unique Hero
Class – Crime Lord (significant synergy in several places, most notably allowing him to bond with the Street Thugs)
Personality – Ruthless (irrelevant unless you’re a mastermind)
Size/Height – Medium

'Scaper of the Month - May 2018

Posted May 10th, 2018 at 05:38 AM by HS Codex

Scaper of the Month
Author: The Grim Reaper’s Friend

To be honest, I always love it when one of our ’Scapers of the Month incorporates some humor into their interview. I feel like it adds some personality to the replies you don’t get if you’re completely serious. I had fun with Ronin’s interview for that reason. Ronin has been working with us in the Codex for some time now, consistently supplying us with high-quality C3G Strategy articles, so I was excited to learn more about him.

Who are you really?
Nate Hutchings. Not much of a reveal unless you happen to know me both here and in real life, and never put two and two together.

How old are you?
Twenty-four, in people years.

What is your occupation?
Software engineer—mainly working in software testing.

Map Spotlight
Volcarren Paradise by Robber
Author: BiggaBullfrog

Due to some complications, it’s been a few months since our last article, but we’re coming back at you now with a new map spotlight! This time, we go back to an excellent entry to our Wilds of Valhalla contest: Robber’s Volcarren Paradise.

(This download is an updated version to allow placement of the Marro Hive in the Start Zone.)

Map Bio:
There is a relatively new volcanic island off the coast of the Volcarren Wasteland. Lush tropical terrain covers the surface, and vegetation and wildlife flourish. Hot springs are common due to the island’s volcanic origins, their waters warm, crystal clear and rejuvenating. The air is thick and humid, almost...

C3G Interview
Author: davidlhsl

Here is another classic interview from streaky2007. This interview originally aired July 16, 2012.
Streaky left the group awhile ago but had a lasting impression on me and this project. We miss you streaky and you are always welcome to return!
Not to be confused with the Ray Stevens song, here comes streaky2007!

How did you discover Heroscape? I see you’re from the UK. Was it difficult to get?

I got back into board gaming through ill health and finding BoardGameGeek. Inspired by Tom Vasel’s Top 100, I put HeroScape on my hit-list. My parents bought me a copy for Christmas 2008 and I had bought myself a copy just in case they didn’t. At the time, Rise of the Valkyrie was widely available for about £13 – 15 ($20 – 25). I also managed to get 2 copies of Road to
