FFC #32 - Let Go (Installment One) - Development Finished

TGRF's Fan Fiction Chronicles - Entry #32

Greetings, my hopefully avid (and currently invisible) readers. I have finished the development for the first installment of my infinite series. The title for this first fiction will be Let Go, and I really hope it works out, because it's the hardest title I've ever had to come up with. Not sure why.

As the entry fiction into the world of my infinite series, this first installment will be a single story arc. Any sequels, while using the same characters, will be on different story arcs. I'm projecting Let Go to be quite short, possibly even Ragnak size. I do not yet have a way to really determine how large or small a fiction will be until it is almost entirely developed. It just depends on how long the plot takes to run its course.

Meanwhile, the infinite series is probably going to be renamed from By Any Other Path. I'm still thinking on what that name should be, but I'll have it by the time I release the first installment.

So, what can I tell you about Let Go? Well, the vampire idea which I was originally going for had to be scrapped. There are no vampires in this tale, although there is a good possibility that they will be in sequels (I'll definitely get to them one way or another eventually). Instead, this tale is centered on Aaryglynn. I'll leave you to dive into the lore and find out what that is.

A few things to note (and which I will reiterate when the fiction comes out): the time period is right after the release of Wave 10. That means no Valkrill, no DnD, and no Eberron or Toril. Some or all of that might work its way in later, but for right now, it's just pure classic 'Scape.

When can you hope to see the first installment? Fairly soon. I'm going to take a break from thinking about the story 24/7, so that I can come back to it in a week or two with a fresh look, while I create the chapter outline. After that it's just a matter of writing it and sending it to Bigga for editing. I'd put the release at the end of September at the earliest. So probably sometime in October to be realistic. However, that's assuming I don't power through the writing in three days or something, which is entirely possible.

Until then though, stay tuned. I'll let you know if anything major changes.

~TGRF.

Notes for writers: The methods Let Go is working on/implementing are: Massively cutting down on cheesy dialogue/thoughts, massively cutting down on author exposition for character thoughts, replacing said exposition with action and implication, and using a true passive theme for the first time.
