In this issue: Images of the Week, What is C3V?, AliasQTip's Annual Heroscape Calender, and SotW #49.

Images of the week.

Our last two articles were pretty text heavy, so we're going to feature two extra images this week.

Life goes on, and that's no different for SoundwarpSG1. He's still making his epic figures, and that's not going to stop for a long, long time. Check out the rest of his work here.

From the Marvel world comes Cavalier with this beauty of a map. It's just a normal day in the city when... IMPACT! A meteor slams into the street, carrying a mysterious object. Of course all of the local baddies want the object for themselves, and the heroes

Wizard's Put Exoskeleton Markers in the Wrong Pack

Posted November 10th, 2010 at 04:03 PM by truth

The upcoming Wave D3 pack - Valkrill's Legion - was supposed to contain Exoskeleton Markers for use with the Mezzodemons. The Mezzodemon's card text refers to these markers.

It has come to our attention that those Exoskeleton Markers were instead put in the pack - Icewind Scourge.

So this means that for every pack of Valkrill's Legion that you purchase you must also purchase a pack of Icewind Scourge to have access to the needed Exoskeleton Markers. Wizards has not told us how their customer service will handle complaints about this. I imagine that if the company has any integrity at all they will provide the missing markers free of charge upon request...

Image of the week.

Since he joined the site Mojobang has been creating some of the most amazing custom terrain that has ever graced this site. Probably the best since the days of Cupidsart and Leifkicker, and this piece is no exception. I could ramble on and on about mojobang's work, but it speaks for itself.

W@HS Exclusive interview with C3G lead designer IAmBatman, part 2.

For anyone who missed it you can check out part one of the interview here.

3. The C3G releases some of it's units in waves. How do you choose which units go in waves and which units are created by themselves? Was there ever a unit that you wanted to be placed in a wave that didn't make the cut?

Wizards of the Coast announced today that it will be discontinuing the Heroscape line.

They've sited a desire to focus on their core brands as the reason. I know, shocking right? Wizards doesn't want to branch out from Magic and D&D?! Since when? Wizards has had a notoriously difficult time branching out from their core brands of D&D and Magic the Gathering. Nowhere is that more evident than their handling of the Heroscape brand. Rather than allow Heroscape to grow based on the brand it had established for itself, they chose to re-brand the product line to fit into D&D. Many rock-solid, even fanatical, Heroscape fans saw that as a jumping off point. Is that why the brand didn't work at Wizards? Maybe, maybe not. It doesn't change anything for me to get overly speculative on the matter, but there it is. I've pointed out the Elephant in the...
