Generalscape

chas has expanded on Scaperdad's Custom Generals for a scenario, Generalscape, that the Gang of Six (the original Four plus Mikeyblaze and Pauliesmiley) will be playing on Friday, 5/25.

I'm happy to say that Generalscape will finally happen after all these years, on Friday May 25. Generals were chosen as follows so far in the following order; we're still open for a seventh player with Valkrill. Note that I had players alternate alliance picking so we'd have a balanced game with whatever number we ended up having as players. If someone can't come and we have an odd number of players, than a) the last player choosing will default to Valkrill instead, or b) if we have a Valkryill by then, he's default to replacing the missing person. Ah, the permutations of running a larger Scape group; a 'problem' I don't mind having:
Kolakoski: Vydar
Taeblewalker: Jandar
Sherman Davies: Einar
Chas: Ullar
Mikeyblaze: Aquilla
Paulie: Utgar
?????: Valkrill
Vydar, Utgar and Einar are allied against Jandar, Aquilla and Ullar - I wonder who will win . . . ?

See further info and discussion first on Scaperdad's Custom Figures thread on his generals, and then on my Custom Scenario thread (Generalscape).
So far half of us have selected armies (Vydar, Ullar, Aquilla) for the upcoming battle. Years ago, many players thought it was heresy to put the Generals on the table ("the players are the generals"), while others hoped Hasbro would make them and their cards. Years before C3G or C3V, Scaperdad made some that were so good that many people considered them practically official, but no one reported on games with them. Scaperdad mostly played them with his kids. He made dynamite figures for them too (his photos are on the thread) and special Command Tokens to bonus up one of each General's Army Cards per round. Later on he added an Army Card for Acquilla, and I recently added Valkryll. |
