T’was the night before Christmas,
And all through the hive
Not a creature was stirring
Not one was alive
The hive stood there bare
Beneath the bright moon
And seldom a marro
Shook their cocoon.
It’s been long since they drank
And long since they’d fed
As visions of human flesh
Danced in their heads.
But for the spring,
They’d sure await
For as you know
They all hibernate.
They can’t clone in snow
Nor in ice can they swim
Making the season for them
Oh so very grim
But they liked it like this
And they should as well
But they never expected
The faintest sleigh bell.
The first one to wake was
The war witch Kee-Mo-Si
Who stood up as mad as
Anyone could be
The marros around her
Soon too did wake
For the smell of the witch
Is just too much to take
And soon by her...
