The Lord Jesus Christ custom Heroscape card

Posted July 4th, 2008 at 12:34 PM by NamibianScaper
One of the things I am not is a graphic artist. If anyone is out there, I've got a custom heroscape card I would like you to make.

Here is the picture for the card:

Name: The Lord Jesus Christ
General: Jandar
Species: God-Man
Type: Unique Hero
Class: Lord of lords
Personality: Glorious
Size: Large 7

Special Abilities: "SECOND COMING" The Lord Jesus Christ does not start the game on the battlefield. Three times per round, at the start of each of your turns, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 3, 7, or 10, place the appropriate "number marker" on this card. Immediately after placing the marker, any of your opponents may choose to delay The Lord's coming by causing one or more of their figures to "repent" and join your army. Then you must remove the marker just placed and roll again. The...

Ask Papa-'Scape #9

Posted November 15th, 2008 at 10:00 AM by Revdyer
Updated November 18th, 2008 at 06:57 AM by Revdyer
Hello, again, boys and gulls. It's been a few weeks since old Papa-'Scape has had a chance to sit down and share his amazing wisdom with the wonderful world of HeroScapers.com. We've had a national election and many local ones, some of which are still counting. You can count on them to be counting and recounting for another month, at least, and that brings us to our first question.

Dear Papa-'Scapeman,
Our game group is arguing about how many starting hexes you have to have in a game. So, dude, how many?
(signed) Counting on you

Dear Counting,
There was that old flag, back during the American Revolution (I remember it like it was yesterday) with the motto "Don't Tread on Me." Well, I say, "Don't Count on Me." Don't call me "dude," either.

As to your question, though, how many starting hexes do you have to have in a game, the answer depends on several factors. First, it depends on what game you're...

Week @ Heroscapers, July 6

Posted July 6th, 2009 at 03:38 PM by truth
Image of the Week

The image of the week comes from the same new image uploader who recently uploaded the great shots of the new wave 9 squads - basilmichael. You can see all of his great images here.

Download of the Week

This week's Download is Mad_wookie's Capuan Arena. It give a very unique twist to maps, splitting a player's starting zone into three different areas. You opponent is also split, making you have to plan even more.

Custom of the Week

This week, we're featuring another custom from Taeblewalker's Unofficial "Not an Exclusive" Figure Contest. 1moreheroscaper did this custom, Styro Colmanius, a repainted Roman Legionnaire. Styro is to the Roman Archers as the Swog...

"Your rep for being a jerk is well-deserved."

Posted August 24th, 2008 at 10:38 AM by Onacara
It's comments like this attached to neg rep that truly make my day. Why? Because obviously this person either takes me too seriously or else they have no concept on what being a jerk really is.

Yes I come off as a bit brash at times and I am not all warm and cuddly but anyone who knows me or at least gets to meet me in real life knows that I am one of the nicest people out there.

I cannot tell you how many times people say to me "I really thought you were an ass but now I don't" or "I wanted to hate you but I can't".

Ok I am sure that there is a small percentage of people who still don't like me after they meet me (they are usually just jealous on how ruggedly handsome I am though) but thats their prerogative. A few have said it to my face and that is actually very cool in my eyes because they have the balls to say it and not put on some fake polite front.

This goes both ways. There was one particular person that I went to GenCon with a preconceived notion of them (and they of me). Perhaps we would have just avoided each other but inevitably we were right there face to face with each other and I believe after it all we had a new "respect" for each other...but I could be wrong..after all I am just a jerk right?...

No GenCon Exclusive for '09

Posted May 19th, 2009 at 02:10 PM by truth
Wizards of the Coast has informed heroscapers.com that due to budget concerns they will not offer an exclusive Heroscape figure at this year's GenCon.

The yearly Heroscape exclusive figure has always been a highlight for those attending GenCon and we are disappointed to see it go. We felt it was important to release this news as soon as possible to avoid the much greater disappointment of expecting a Heroscape exclusive and then showing up to GenCon to find that there isn't going to be one.
