This custom unit is inspired by my level 70 World of Warcraft character of the same name. It was tough to limit the abilities down to something that would fit on the card. In the game there are so many things that a Warrior can do, but ultimately I think the feel of the class in the game shows through in this card. The figure is from the game Confrontation by Rackham.

When I first saw Tanboar's stats and the number of abilities he has, combined with my limited knowledge of WoW, I thought there was no way he could be balanced at 220 points. After reading through his abilities, I'll admit that he's at least close.
My only gripe is that you didn't incorporate the warrior's peculiar ability to charge up a sheer rock face. |

What miniature is that? That is freaking sweet man. Is that a WOW mini? I love the specials you gave him and I would like to see him up against hulk!

Guido, I had an entire list of abilities to work worth and the Charge ability just didn't make the cut. Maybe, I will make another Warrior and incorporate some more of the Warrior's abilities.
Bad_Calvin, Its from Confrontation, and its called Archon from the Eagle faction (I think). |

I love how you reworked GoM into a Rage system. That's a great way to implement the mechanic in Heroscape terms. If I ever do any WoW customs I'll definitely steal it. And recommend it to anyone else trying to do WoW rage style characters in HS.
OTOH this card, IMHO, suffers from trying to do a little bit of everything instead of focusing on one particular aspect and doing that well. Yeah, you can't implement every single ability, or even all the major ones... but what you could do is implement two or three meaningful, interesting, defining abilities for a particular spec. As much as I like your Rage system, I feel you could do a lot better with the actual moves you gave to the guy to use his Rage on. Mortal Strike is supposed to be a utility anti-healing attack, not an incomprehensibly huge damage attack... Enraged doesn't seem to match the Enrage ability at all and seems redundant in its current implementation, something that could safely be left out entirely for something more interesting (although I suppose you could ditch the equally lackluster Slam instead)... Cleave I do like, as it stays pretty close to its WoW usage and serves a distinct purpose, rather than just being a generic 'Me smash' attack. I wish the rest of them had as clear a niche as cleave besides raw damage. I mean, it's not like the card seems broken or anything... it's just that, I know you can be more creative. So take that as you will. |

I was originally going to go with Execute instead of Mortal Strike (because you're right it does have that anti-healing feature which I forgot about), which in hindsight probably would have made better sense because its purpose in the game is to do ridiculous amounts of damage in an attempt to kill the target quickly.
In the game, I'm a Slammer/MS Arms/Fury hybrid build. I thought the abilities on this card represented that as closely as I possibly could within the restrictions of the rules of Heroscape. I really like how Cleave turned out too. I really wanted to give Charge, Thunder Clap, and some other things a try too. Perhaps the Stances, maybe a Protection Warrior....there are so many things that could be ported over to this. I'm already working on a series of Warlocks (my second most played character, level 63). |

I've updated the card, with a few changes, including dropping the Slam Special attack in favor of Charge, and getting rid of Enraged all together (increased his base attack by 1 to try and compensate). Finally I changed Mortal Strike to Execute. I think this version will work much better.

Sweet customs as always, Nether.
That guy's a beast. Tauren are the equivalent of a minotaur in World of Warcraft, huh? |

Thanks for the compliment, HEH. Yes, Tauren are WoW's equivalent to Minotaurs. They remind me a lot of Native Americans, they are very spiritual and talk about nature and the "Earth Mother" a lot. I think its my favorite race in the game.

Cool custom. I think somewhere between the two versions, you capture the essence of a warrior pretty well.
Hamstring and Intercept are two other big moves, especially in PvP. Putting tokens to reduce an enemy Unique Hero's Move value, or allowing a free, rage-burning+disengaging move after your attack would capture those two abilities pretty well in the Heroscape rules I think. Maybe even add a chance (like 17+) for Intercept to knock an order marker off too, to represent the stun. Which brings me to my next point. Where's War Stomp? You're a cow! Not sure how +15 herbalism skill would really translate though . |

Moooooo.
I had thought about Hamstring and even have the power written up but, there are so many cool abilities and I only have so much space on the card. Maybe I'll make a couple more warriors and incorporate more of the ablilites, maybe the next one will be an Orc. I like the Order Marker removal idea for Stunning, I may just borrow that. |

Very interesting custom. I like his choice of special attacks. I agree that he might be a tad underpriced.
