Adventurescape continues

Posted February 22nd, 2021 at 12:42 AM by Confred
Hard to believe this project is three years old.

Lately I've been updating, upgrading, and making spawn bags more uniform. There's approximately 25 levels of opponents near 150 per level.

There are a dozen or so damage types and before the wound markers were simply grouped with the units that dealt them. Now they have powers that specially say what to do with those markers.

Some squad figures have been shifted to heroes - and vice versa. Markers now make this more clear also. For the first three levels at least. I've been saving on my end, but a playable update will come more likely at the end and not between.

Glyphs can be dropped and markers can't

There are temporary and permanent Treasure Glyphs, Quest Treasure Glyphs, Power Glyphs, Special Power Glyphs - Experience, Escalation, and Challenges also now have Glyph forms.

Units can now be encountered with Glyphs to spicen up their arrival.

I can't seem to leave Adventurescape alone.

Today, I tweaked the first scenario even further, so that I believe everything is now well defined to the player.

Last blog entry, I talked about the Quest Item Bag and today I tweaked the first scenario to utilize Quest Items.

This game is now to a state where I encourage others to download it from Steam and tell me how they feel.

Adventurescape: Master Resource Pack

Posted November 10th, 2018 at 10:44 PM by Confred
I've been working on Adventurescape: A Modular Campaign Mode for Heroscape (DnDscape) for a couple months now.
My work is now up on the Tabletop Simulator Steam Workshop.

The system uses a series of nested bags to guide content - much like my nested Glyph system used in Borderlands-scape (which sadly, never went public before computer crash years ago)

Today (Nov. 10, 2018 ), I created a Quest Item Bag, which helps keep track of and guide the player on their quest progression.
With the Quest Item Bag, I also updated some all-purpose language to more specific Quest Item referencing.

Which reminds me.. I need to update the Challenge Bags to utilize Quest Item Bags...
but that must be for another time!

Please, download and subscribe and leave feedback,.
