Ormus' newest map is a true spectacle of engineering and his photographs of it are a true spectacle of artistry. The map is split into the Dungeon, Spire, Swamp, Desert, Graveyard, Acropolis, River, and the Forest regions, with the spire shown above.

Thread of the Week

Fat Dragon Games has come out with a new addition to their printable terrain designs with the the Hexmaster series. The new cardstock hex terrain includes stone markers, pillars, stonework, and natural cliffs. Check it out here.

Scaper of the Week

The latest 'Scaper of the Week is another in the long list of custom creators her on the site. I am referring to none other than allskulls. He doesn't post much anymore, but he's been around since the beginning and he has dome some fantastic custom figure work. His niche, of course, is the comic book realm....

Caravaggio has recently posted some old pictures of his maps, which are true marvels in mapmaking and highly known for the artistry that goes into every one. Look at his thread for some great old gems, as well as some of his newest designs!

Thread of the Week

A huge part of Heroscape is its tournament scene. New players may be overwhelmed by references like TTO, GenCon, HoB, and Meta-game. MoonBlade created a thread asking the simple question What is a meta-game? and all sorts of interesting discussions about competetive Heroscape have been raised, with RevDyer creating another thread to discuss what Heroscape is.

Events of the Week

NHSD (National Heroscape Day) is fast approaching and promises to be another great event, with events going on from California to Washington to Ohio and New York. With over a dozen events...

Heroscape's most unique asset is its Marro, all seen above in lordcragor's diorama. Yet we also have some seriously talented figure mods at HSers.com, and Soundwarp SG-1 has once again shown us his stuff with a Marro Divider that well...didn't divide.

Blogs of the Week
Seemingly an answer to Jexik's question What qualifies as a mistake?, kolakoski names the 2 Deadly Sins of Heroscape, and how they affected the outcome of his latest game by resulting in "total destruction." A game of scape has many factors: not just what you do, but what you don't do and those together are what make great moves and mistakes.

Now that the musings and ramblings of Gencon have slowed down and the rampant discussion regarding the new D&D Master Set has slowed (somewhat), as well, the crew of Week@HSers is back!

DrinkMoreGuinness has brought us one of the most fantastic customs to ever grace this site. It's a little late in coming, but here's the accolades he so richly deserves. DMG's work in progress can be seen here.

Since it's been awhile since we've posted, we decided to go ahead and do two images for your viewing pleasure. So behold:

This image is brought to us by lordcragor. I do not think I have ever seen the Deathwalkers look more menacing.

Mossman has taken some great photos of the Steamroller versus a collection of samurai. The swords of these ancient warriors clash with the samurai earning a narrow victory. You can check out more of the photos here.

Blog of the Week

Deadeye Dan Vs. Sudema is not a topic that has been discussed at great length. Both units aren't exactly what people think of as tournament ready, and even in games with friends they have a glass jaw and lack too much fire power. Despite this, it is still a good idea to look at them together. Their prices are so different, but they are very similar figures. Why?

Necro of the Week

One of my favorite aspects of Heroscape is how close the games really are. The game shifts back and forth, and then comes down to one figure versus one other figure. Grungebob attributes...
