Microcorp Agents--A Primer for All things Microcorp

Bothered by historic accuracy?
Here is a thread for all of you nit pickers out there that feel there are historical inaccuracies in some of the units released so far. A Scaper from Croatia by the name of earlofwessex started this thread almost a year ago, but the points remain valid and the discussion continues even today. Check it out and feel free to add your own critiques:

Fun Armies for Casual Play
This week's 5ive starts out with an awesome thread started by the equally awesom kenjib. It is a repository of "fun armies for casual play". These armies might not be the most viable tourney winners, but they are all a lot of fun for low key get togethers with your fellow Scapers. And if that wasn't enough to hook you they all have silly names. Check it out and add your ideas.

New member, first post, first custom.
Here is a thread that was started a couple of weeks ago by new member danmyersmn that features some novel ways to customize HeroScape. It also has a really wonderful reason for the customization. Stop by and give your suggestions and welcome danmyersmn to our community.

This week's 5ive has a theme... and that theme is tournaments. If you haven't played in a tourney you're missing out on one of the greatest aspects of this game. Below are some of the more organized upcoming tournaments. If you can't make any of the events listed below put one together in your local area and post it in the Events Forum.

Iowa City Tournament May 26th- Details on first post
The folks in Iowa sure know how to run a tournament. Some of the largest and best organized tournaments have been held there (and in southern Minnesota). HeroScaper-extraordinaire spider_poison is putting this one together in Coralville, Iowa on May 26th. This tourney will feature team co-op play with a combined point total of 530 points.
# TWO
Preliminary discussion - Dayton, OH tournament May 19th
Another hotbed of Scape activity is in Ohio (just ask truth). On May 19th HeroScaper Marduk is hosting a tournament in Dayton, Ohio (Fairborn specifically)....

philowar's post-apocalypse Heroscape
There are a lot of threads here at HeroScapers that feature cool custom add-ins for our beloved HeroScape. These invariably find ways to include elements from other games or toys in the Valhalla setting. This thread by philowar does the opposite and finds ways to include HeroScape stuff in a post-apocalyptic world. Wade through all seven pages and feast on the pictures provided by numerous members. There's some great stuff in here....

InfinityMax Shows Off - Pagoda Tower
Every web community has folks that amaze the masses. And HeroScapers.com certainly has more than it's fair share, as is evidenced by the wealth of cool threads in the weekly 5ive. Member InfinityMax is one of the astounding artists here that has captured everyone's attention with his dice towers. This thread features his work and should be revisited from time to time because he updates it with every custom tower he does.

Hs MORIA inspired by "The Lord of the Ring"
Every now and then you see a thread that truly makes your jaw drop. This is that thread. New member Lyricoz from Switzerland decided to blow our collective minds with his Mines of Moria set up. Be sure to take the time to follow the link he provided to see this massive beast being built. The accompanying text is not in English, but his pictures are worth more than a thousand words. This is one of the most ambitious maps I've ever seen, and I can't help but wonder how much coin it took to get that many hexes to the land of cheese and chocolate.

Character pronunciation guide?
How many times have you been playing a game of Scape and you hear your opponent talking about a unit that you've never heard of? Then you realize that your opponent is grossly mispronouncing that unit's name....or are they? This thread takes the great debate about how to pronounce Charos' name to a new level. Drop...
