My Town

Posted June 1st, 2008 at 07:16 PM by Menchy
Well, I am taking a departure from my previous format today. I was doing a school project that involved photographing some houses in my neighborhood, and I decided to share some of the more architecturally appealing ones.

First of all, we have my house. Obviously the greatest house in the neighborhood.

This house has a great porch.

I think that the wooden details on this house are great.

The bricks on this are very cool. They aren't laid normally, and they create a lot of visiual interest.

Our town has a bit of a problem with knockdowns, where small houses or houses in disrepair are knocked down and replaced...

Heroscape Appeal

Posted June 1st, 2008 at 06:38 PM by Majai of Dreams
One of the most appealing aspects of Heroscape to me is the near limitless potential it has.

Heroscape allows its creators to tap into the past, present and the future; as well as go to worlds both known and unknown.

The sheer customizability of the game adds to the overall appeal. I enjoy how with a little creativity, it is never the same game twice.

Conceptually I am always a fan of turn based war games with individual figures having a life of their own. Games where one piece represents hundreds or thousands of units loses appeal and makes the units seem so expendable and faceless.

The game is not without its flaws, which I am OK with, it leaves room for improvement allows future designers to improve upon the game and enhance the experience.

In summary, it is a great game in my opinion. I look forward for what the future of heroscape holds.

Battlefield Set 01

Posted June 1st, 2008 at 02:16 PM by Aquaryan

There are many designs that could have taken shape to form my battlefield with this game.

Taking the space into consideration, I opted for this to be my first one.

I used different coloured tiles to give 3D looks for photos.

Until next time...

Otonashi Opinion

Posted June 1st, 2008 at 12:18 PM by NamibianScaper
I'm definitely looking forward to adding Otonashi to our family collection. I could have used her in our last game as I was 10 points under the limit and Isamu was already taken.

I think she'll be a great addition for anyone who doesn't use multiple uniques in their games.

We're looking forward to all the other new units as well and can't wait to see previews of the Einar Dragon and Marro Monster.

Webcomic Review: Ctrl+Alt+Del

Posted May 31st, 2008 at 11:52 PM by Firemaster
For an explanation of my review system, go to my LFG review here.

Blah, I have to learn to stop procrastinating. I never got around to doing a CoN tip this week (I'll probably do one tomorrow), and I am just barely keeping my promise to do a second webcomic review this week. Oh well, not much I can do about it now. Anyways, today I am reviewing Ctrl+Alt+Del.

Title/Author: Ctrl+Alt+Del, by Tim Buckley

Update Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday

Genre: Gaming

Style: Hybrid

Summary: Meet Ethan. He's an idiot, but in a good way. The kind of good way that leads him to do stuff that will harm himself, destroy stuff, say stupid things, and all around make us laugh. From creating a new holiday and religion, to trying to avoid being killed by a penguin, to trying to learn to play warhammer, to sneaking into a gaming company...
