Blog Vs. Thread

I am curious now, what material wold be best for a blog but not a thread? I know personal things can go on a blog, but besides that what would you suggest?
I would like to make good use of my blog, but since not as many people look at blogs as threads, I need some good ideas for my blog.

You can use blog posts as teasers for threads you've posted. For example, if I add something to my custom thread, I'll post one pic on the blog and add a link.

Struggled with this issue too. I think it depends on the seriousness/permanance and target audience of the ideas you want to present/explore. Also, you might throw private messaging into your mix. David |

Use threads for things that you expect to spawn replies for meaningful discussion. Use blogs for things that people would post, "cool post, + rep to you!" and then suck up the lack of rep.
That's what I started doing at least, or just use blogs for kind of non sequitir stuff like ketchup. |

I've been using mine for stuff that doesn't feel . . . substantial enough for it's own thread (or inclusion in an existing thread that I know of). When I'm writing about HS related stuff I'm generally developing an idea that's been rolling around in my head that needs to get out.

I'd suggest using the blog for Heroscape related things you're developing that cross over the line between thread topics, and are long. Remember, the Thought Police and the Quick Insulters won't bother you much in your blog.

I use my design blog to share ideas for upcomming maps/scenarios I'm working on. It's sort of a "comming soon" for my battlefields thread.
