The Supernatural

I have always been a believer in the Supernatural, not anything outrageous like werewolves or vampires but in the spirits of the dead mostly. I wholly believe in ghosts, both bad and good, and the things that they can do on a psychological level. Bad dreams, hallucinations, deranged periods, all could be caused by something unseen and unfelt. How many of you also believe? How many don't? Why or why not?

I believe in the supernatural. I believe in spiritual warfare and that our eyes are blind to a whole realm where angels and demons are in a constant battle to influence our world. I also believe in supernatural miracles. I wouldn't not say I believe in ghosts, merely the illusion of ghosts put on by some other spiritual being.

I believe that energy is constant. It is neither created nor destroyed... it just changes form. Ghosts, spirits, and our idea of good, bad, God, and the Devil could be a big part of that energy. Although I've never seen a ghost or etc, I've experienced/felt things I could not explain. Label it what you like, the world is too big to have an explanation for everything.
The thing about dreams no one really gets is that 'you are everyone in your dreams.' In other words, you've all ready decided what this person or that person is going to do in your dream. The lies you tell yourself come true in dreams because their just wishes in disguise. The "truth" you imagine to be happening in your dreams is just your truth, no one else's. I doubt that most dreams have meaning for other people... they probably have a lot to say about you though. If you're everyone in your dreams then what you do to others in your dreams, you're actually doing to yourself. Think about it. All this philosophic talk about what ifs and whatchya thinks really has me jonesing for a game of Heroscape. At least a game has definite rules and there are clear winners and losers. Ah structure... |

I think that dreams aren't just you vs. you they are a subconscious way of your mind dealing with the spiritual interactions it receives as well, if a good spirit decides to guard you your dreams will be pleasant and unsettling, on the other hand if a malevolent being decides to haunt you your dreams will be tortured and nerve wracking, the kind that you lose sleep over.
I also believe that a good spirit can be attributed to good luck and vice versa, have you ever just randomly looked or felt something causing you to see something that will protect you from danger, or have something bad about to happen to be diverted at the last moment? I have had many of these moments in my past and do believe that someone or something can be caused for assisting me. |

I'm not sure if I believe in spirits or not, but I don't think it's any less reasonable than believing the person next to you is a conscious, thinking being and not a mere automaton.

Probably. I wouldn't doubt their exsistence. I don't highly believe in ghosts, but I'm not dumb enough to count them out. I mean, what if I'm attacked by a ghost some day? I'm not just going to say it doesn't exsit and hope to wake up.

Not in the least. I mean, the closest thing to "supernatural" I believe in is the Yeti (HE'S OUT THERE I TELLS YA!).
I do believe there is a layer to this world that's beyond our comprehension, but spirits, ghosts, angels, and so forth could just be a way of trying to understand that World Beneath the World, so to speak. ...does that count as supernatural? I guess it does, huh? :P |

Oh thank you johnny, I forgot to say that the yeti is indeed out there. Trust me on this one. Big foot too...and the skunk ape...yeah I like supernatural hominids...

I believe in the God of the Bible, complete with angels, demons, miracles, Heaven, Hell, and a ban on listening to good music. I believe that our souls live on after our bodies die, although I question whether they ever behave in the manner described in typical ghost stories or haunted house legends.

well, I don't know if this is supernatural, but once my teacher was playing witha old ouija board, and their both devout Christians as am I. And all of a sudden the room got very cold, and the lights went out, their was a very daemonic presence he said, and the only way he got it away was they both prayed for about 5 minuets. Pretty creep huh?
Also once my friend was going into his garage to get his books from his dads car. All of a sudden the lights go out, he quickly reaches for his phone, he puts it on camera and take a picture to light up the room. He manages to get to his room again, and looks at the picture, and theres a big white round object with purple dust coming off of it. I was chilled when he told me the story and showed me the picture. So yeah I guess I do believe in the supernatural. |
