Well met!

I have been writing scenarios to encourage the use of certain types of units, to create a certain cinematic circumstance from within my cranium, with mixed results. Within all of them, to a greater or lesser extent, reality has intruded. While fun and entertaining, they fall short of my vision. So I am taking a new tack.

[Note: In the list below, I am including the cost of each unit as follows: Official/original Legacy/Legacy Evolution, as I intend to experiment with the Legacy system.]

Hurricane Heroscape!

Well met!

The only fresh water in leagues is here, at the Fountain of Life! Will it be Life or Death for those who land here seeking it?

The Map.

The Map is relatively tiny, being roughly rectangular in shape, 20 hexes long by 15 hexes wide, with a 1-3 hex wide Sand Beach all around it. At each end is a small Swamp pool containing a Hive, with 3 Jungle bushes, 1 at the very end nearest the shortest, narrowest stretch of beach, and 2 nearer the center. At the center is a raised 2 hex pool of Water (the Fountain), bounded by Marvel Black double hexers, on a small Rock plateau, featuring 2 long Ruins.

The Set Up.

Each player will have a 7-hexer Ship's Boat, upon which he must fit his 500 point Water Party, comprised solely of unique heroes. Due to the current Hurricane

conditions, there is no flying, and no non-adjacent attacks are possible. In addition, the howling of the wind is such that no units creating auras or

My Elf Returns

Yesterday there were tornado and violent thunderstorm warnings and watches. Golf ball sized hail was predicted. But that did not stop me from driving for four hours, sometimes in heavy rain. to find my elf again.

You may recall my elf-loving daughter got a summer job as a ranger in the north. She worked brushing (clearing the area around trails), digging ditches, and painting all sorts of signs and buildings. Well her tenure was finally up, and she rode the bus 18 hours to Toronto, Canada’s largest city, where I was to meet her and bring her home.

I have not been to Toronto for a very long time. I don’t like cities much, and other people scare me. I lived there when my daughter was a baby; we left just after I was holding her up to an open window to look outside and we saw a man being shot in our driveway. It’s a huge city- it goes on and on and has over six million people.

I’m from a small town where everyone knows everyone....
