Moving...

It's official. My family is moving to Arizona this summer. We're going to the area around Phoenix.
It'll be my first move that I remember. I've been in Green Bay for at 11 years. (Out of almost 13 years.)
Major news, a bit in the future though, but I just thought I'd let you guys know.
Overall, though, I'd say I'm looking forward to it for about 3 reasons:
1) During the summer, when it's really hot, I have an excuse to stay inside and play 'scape.
2) The winters will be a whole lot better.
3) If we're going to move, this will be the best time. (I'd be finishing 8th grade here, and going into High School in AZ.)

Although I'm in and from NYC, I went to college in Beloit, Wisconsin, and I know about the winters: there used to be a tire commercial showing a guy digging out that started "Our Midwest Winters..."
The Southwest is lots of fun; I went there on a vacation with my Dad years ago. Visit Taos, NM and the Kit Carson museum, Albuquerque, Meteor Crater, Petrified Forest, and don't forget the Grand Canyon! Father away is Carlsbad Caverns, the most awesome of all--you'll feel like you're down in The Underdark!!! |

I'll take cold weather over hot any day. In cold weather you can always put on more clothes. In hot weather, there's only so much you can take off (in public, legally).

Meh, I don't like the cold. And we only get snow for a day at a time. Then it frezes. Solid. Really. Just ice, covering everything.
