Another tournament, another update.

Yep, it's that time again. NHSD today in VT was an excellent event (thanks Scapemage!). Twelve really enjoyable games of Heroscape. 
But for the purposes of this blog, it was the competitive "alleys" (eight player, single elimination events) that count. I participated in three of these:
Moriko and the Grok Riders mean that I've now used all of the Wave 8 units in a competitive setting. The other new ones were Hulk, Kumiko and TSA. Here are the new tables:
Other items to note. Raelin moved to the top of the charts with her win difference advancing to 20. Vydar maintained top spot among the generals without featuring---I'd misallocated a Jandar unit to him previously. Other than Wave 8, the new units were pretty well spread between waves and generals.
I had nine potential armies with me to grab from as events started. Here they are (asterisks denote previously unused units):
Three "waves" are now within a single army of completion; I just need to use Hive/Drudge, Kyntela and Imperium/Kiova to complete SotM, Wave 7 and Wave 6 respectively. (Wave 5 can arguably be added too, if I use a Steamroller with added Kozuke.)
Another thing I was thinking about as I used the Grok Riders was whether I'd managed to use at least something from each booster yet. The Grok Riders obviously added one new booster. Others yet to feature: Sacred Band/Armocs, Mohicans/Capuans, Granite Guardians/Quasatch, Elementals/Wyvern, Cutters/Warhulk, Death Knights/Mezzodemons/Pulverizer and Death Chasers/Brutes. So a while to go with that.

Oh, and this also took me past 200 tournament games. The 200th game was a semifinal win with Hulk and Kumiko against Neo (which, oddly, came after my loss in the final of the same tournament against Nyphot which was game #199).
My overall win rate rocketed from 73.3% all the way up to 73.4%. |
