Moriko - Card Preview

At a first glance, I doubt I'll play her much, but it's always nice to see new official cards, especially the card of a figure we've been speculating about for so long. Thanks, WotC!

NICE!!! I have no complaints. (I'm THRILLED that she's not with Einar.) I don't get why y'all keep saying she's going to die fast. She has a defense of FOUR. That's nothing to sneeze at. With Phantom Walk, she shouldn't have much trouble getting the high ground, so she'll be five most of the time. That's pretty awesome, IMHO.

Awesome figure, special attack similar to Q9, and phantom walking... expected disappearing ninja power but still awesome and I don't see why she wouldn't survive long.

it's cool but it isn't going to last. also, i think i should be cheaper... and it should have a dodge ability. always good to see another ninja tho.

110 may be a little pricey, but this is a solid figure that I predict will see a lot of play. 4 attack and 4 defense is pretty rare and very powerful, and with phantom walk she can move right in the thick of battle and use her special.
She will not be another Q9. The Melee restriction will definitely not make her as useful. She is a very solid figure, though, and makes Ullar a much better army. Overall, bravo! |

Thanks, Truth. I wasn't expect another preview so soon . . . are you going to hold anything back for June 13?

playa1: People aren't saying she'll be as good as Q9, they're noticing her attack is a toned-down version of his.

Nice, Thanks Truth!
She is a little pricy, but is another answer to squad scape. Rats, do not stop her as she waltzs past them right up to the 4th Mass and turns them into Sushi |

I'm liking the designs for this set. In the past, ranged figures and squads have generally tended to dominate the field. Our first preview was an anti-ranged melee squad (Wolves of Badru) and now an anti-squad hero. Comparing her to Carr, I think she's priced about right.

This is sweet a new Ninja that is pretty darn tough looking. Wave 8 is looking better each preview. Thanx Truth and WOTC. Cant wait for the next one.

Carr and MorikoAww cool! Firstly, a nice sculpt so like Isamu it'll make a nice repaint (which is always fun). Secondly, Carr has a girlfriend now. Should be fun to play em both; him with his broadsword and her with the twin fists of fury. Finally, nice to see the ninjas hiring themselves out to folks other than Einar. Great post. These previews are awesome.
