C3G Strategy - April 2017

C3G Strategy Guide
Hawkeye (II)
By: Ronin

Analyzed Statistics

Left Box Breakdown
Species – Human
Uniqueness – Unique Hero
Class – Archer
Personality – Cocky
Size/Height – Large 5
Being a unique human hero is pretty average for C3G. Human status brings some minor benefits, but nothing that’s particularly notable for Hawkeye. A class of “Archer” ties Hawkeye into a few different special powers. The first is Merlyn’s Archer Rivalry, the second is Speed Shot on Roy Harper in both his guises, and the third is The Brave and the Bold on Batman (III). Hawkeye’s size is probably the largest thing working in his favor (pun intended). Large figures are a rarity in C3G, and being large means Hawkeye isn’t

Fan Fiction Spotlight - March 2017

Fan Fiction Spotlight
Indiana Jones and the Wizards of the Coast, by The Deadliest Warrior
By: The Grim Reaper’s Friend

Title: “Indiana Jones and the Wizards of the Coast”
Rating: 8.08/10
Votes: 12
Status: Completed

The title alone gives you ideas. This is a fan fiction that promises to be good, filled with Indy action and HeroScape action. And The Deadliest Warrior delivers on both, and more.

I stumbled across “Indiana Jones and the Wizards of the Coast” when I was creating the Index of Fan Art and Fiction. I instantly knew that this was a cut above the normal fan fiction, but it still took me some time to actually start reading it. Several convincing reviews later, I dug in. I’ve never regretted it. I even reread it once. That’s something that not many fan fictions can claim.

C3G Interview - March 2017

C3G Interview: Flashback
omael
Author: davidhls (assembled by Tornado)

How did you discover Heroscape? Was the game difficult to find in Mexico, or did you purchase your stuff online?

A guy in the store I used to visit recommended it to me, telling me I could match Hulk and other superheroes against robots and dragons; I really just wanted to have the D&D stuff, so I bought MS3 there to play with a friend (at the time, we didn’t have anything to play for only 2 players).

After that, I tried convincing another couple of friends to join me, but couldn’t find any other MS3s to play with them—they even commissioned me to find them some and buy it on sight.

Then came the super Christmas sale at one of our local stores: it was about an hour drive to it, and we didn’t even know what it looked like, but we went

HoSS How to Beat - February 2017

How to Beat:
Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight)
By: Fi Skirata

Last time we brought you the extremely powerful head of the Skywalker family, so why don’t we keep the train rolling by bringing you his almost-equal-in-power son, Luke Skywalker. At the Jedi Knight stage, Luke has become an incredibly strong character that can easily hold his own among the heavy hitters. With 5 life, 5 attack and 5 defense, this version of Luke sits as the fourth strongest figure to be released, and is also tied for fourth most expensive at 200 points. However, his greatest weakness also lies in tandem with his greatest strength: his anger-driven fighting abilities. One of the biggest benefits for playing this version

Fan Fiction Spotlight
The Fan Fic Competition
By: The Grim Reaper’s Friend

Greetings to the readers of the Codex! February has been a slow month for us, so because it’s taking longer than anticipated to get fully off the ground, I decided to pitch in where I could, and write my own article.

But what to write on? I don’t exactly have a large presence on Heroscapers. I could write about the inner workings of the Codex ... but no, I put everything worth saying on Facebook already (shameless promotion: check). I could write about playing CoN, and tell the readers the secrets to failing spectacularly in the gameplay ... somehow I doubt that would work.

Or I could write about fan fiction. Fan fiction is where, after floating aimlessly in the “general discussions” forum for a year or two, I finally landed, and it is there that
