My youngest son has a pile of rubber ducks of various sizes that bathe with him sometimes. I hadn’t even realized I was doing it- dividing the smaller similar sized ones into groups of four, and having them behave differently than the larger unique rubber ducks- but that’s what I was doing. I wasn’t surprised when I finally realized; Scape has kind of invaded everything in my life.
After a few moments reflection I thought of a few ways to tell if Scape has taken your soul too: When confronted with a crowd, you try to phantom walk your way through without getting elbowed in the face. When buying groceries, you pick multiples of fruits and vegetables that look good as a squad. When watching movies about World War Two, you constantly scan the background to see if any soldier has a grapple arm. The first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning is if you can get away with leaving that map up just one more... |
